Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Corre must surely be in the running for worst WWE stable in history. Absolutely brutal.

Great idea on paper but it bombed

No matter how bad their follow through is now it's still better than back then. So many good ideas came to nothing in the period 2007-2015 due to Vince not bothering his arse.

In the last 4 years they've at least put up the pretense of putting talent to the forefront.

    What about The Welcoming Committee?

I won't blame you if you don't even remember them despite it being relatively recent.

They're definitely in the running too, had to Google them. Was wondering how I had no recollection of a wrestling stable then saw they were a part of the Smackdown Live era so no surprise they're not fondly remembered.

Rollins' suicide dive aka lazy leaping shove annoys me. It is such a nothing move. The fact he does it twice in a row only heightens the annoyance.

I’d actually go one further and say the suicide dive is the most over used move in wrestling and so very few actually do it well

Shamelessly stolen from other pro wrestling forums.....
But has anyone noticed Bayleys ass is getting bigger recently? :pac:

And that's a good thing! :pac:

Lawrence Taylor and Mr. T have appeared in more Wrestlemania main events than Kane, CM Punk, Sting and Ric Flair. Still time for Punk to change that, hopefully none of the others though :P

Punk is more likely than the others at this juncture. Taylor was one of the better celeb appearances though.

Samoa Joe is so damn good. He should have had a much better career then he got. In TNA he was great when he first arrived but then for some reason TNA started misusing him and he was never the same again. In WWE he has also been consistently good and has even managed to give Brock Lesnar a run for his money, yet he still has not won a world title. I would love for him to come back and win the royal rumble and then go on to win the WWE/Universal Championship at Wrestlemania. I doubt it will happen but that's what I want to see.

Looks like Vince has a stiffy for him on commentary now which is bad news. Way too early for the Macho Man treatment unless he's hurt.

If there's nothing really worthwhile for him to do in the ring he's probably better off doing commentary for the time being. Honestly I'd actually send him back to NXT, at least there he'll have people like Dijakovic, Lee, UE and Dream when he returns to feud with.

  • Registered Users Posts: 106 ✭✭LibSuperstar

It's a good way to keep him on TV especially it's a role he's good at.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,884 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I was liking Dio in that co commentary role.

Joe is doing a great job as well.

Hopefully Dio returns and it leads to a fued with Joe or Brock.

Not many guys that are built as big as Brock and can look down on him a small bit.

Apparently he’s struggling with a thumb injury that isn’t healing like they would hope.

So commentating keeps him up front and centre.

Cena has become what The Rock is, a high ranking freemason. That's why they have their own brands.

Not sure how I feel about this "Super Humman" fella on YouTube.
A guy who either has no brains or is working people into thinking he's dumb that uploads videos of him being put through barbed-wire, Light-tubes, and things that just generally hurt.
Maybe it's just me being sensitive but I'm just not a fan of viewers and people like Joey Janela encouraging him being an idiot, regardless of whether he actually is one or not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,221 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

There's a guy on Reddit who does "Evolution of........" videos for wrestlers chronicling their careers in a music video format. They're quite well done. List of all the ones he's done so far...

    An idiot. Through and through.
Dislike people like that too. If you feel a need to do wrestling stuff then go to a poxy wrestling school. Thousands of them out there. While you're there learn how to actual wrestle instead of this backyard lunatic crap.

Irony wrestling is the dirt worst and Super Humman being booked on shows falls into that category.

Saw a great stat on Reddit.

2019 will the first year since 2001 where there hasn't been a John Cena PPV match.

His last PPV match was Super Showdown in October 2018.

I think The Authors of Pain would have been better with Samoa Joe. Just imagine Joe as the leader of a new faction with AOP. He could call it the Nation of Violence which I know would be a reference to his past in TNA but WWE have already acknowledged TNA so it wouldn't be such a hard thing really.

Of course Vince would probably be worried people might mistake it for Nation of Domination. But I think Joe being the leader would have been a much better swerve than Seth Rollins. I know Joe is injured now but it still would have been cool I think.

Now that would be a stable.

Joe is basically a shell of his former self, it'd drop into the mid card fast and sink into obscurity.

The WWE need to start to protect finishing moves to make them seem important.

It is ridiculous now you lads wrestlers are kicking out of so many finishing moves I think half of them would kick out of being dead.

One wrestler kicks out of 5 finishing moves and then loses to a school boy.

I stopped watching WWE years ago, once YouTube and R/SC had the best bits up shortly after it happened. It's just too much of a time commitment these days. Lucha Underground got me back into Indy Wrestling, which coincided well with the rise of OTT and I'd much rather watch an OTT event than anything WWE produces.

Here's a random thought. This forum in general has been pretty quiet, dare I say a bit sh*t, as of late.

For example, there was F all responses to the Boards Awards of the Year where historically they've been popular. No real interaction. Single digits were enough to win or a mere nomination in some categories! No buzz or anything around them. The live threads are nearly dead. RAW used to have a weekly busy new thread, now it's a ''super'' thread where usually one fella is talking to himself during the night.

I don't know if it's because of Reddit, other sites, people not watching things at the same time due to on demand services, people enjoying an array of different companies so there's less communal spirit and discussion, or maybe the day of the forum is done. Either way it's a disappointing I think :(

For me I've cut back on posting due to the fact the main WWE product is just spinning the wheels at the moment and has been for a long time now, Wyatt being the only exception but that was more his doing than WWE's. And even then they've completely over-booked for him to surprise surprise have him defeated by the Big Dwag at Mania.

NXT is enjoyable and more palatable of a product to get behind. AEW while in ring is fantastic other than Jericho character wise just isn't grabbing me.

For me there's not enough passion in WWE for me to get passionate about, last night's PPV summed it up, they don't need to wheel out their big guns or put on a decent PPV anymore but people will still subscribe. PPVs are more like one giant pre-show for Steve Austin's podcast.

Has anyone kicked out of the RKO? I think it was one of the only moves that still finished people.

For obvious reasons, there's going to be cards handed out here. In the mean time, if anyone else decides to start cyber-stalking or wanting to throw personal shots, I'm more than happy to remove access for them....

In the mean time, stay on the topic of pro-wrestling.

    ...and adding to it.

I've deleted 109 posts in here this evening, and had to issue 4 yellow cards, two of which were for people who decided to ignore the mod warning and keep the nonsense going.

I actually think there could have been a mature discussion over objectification had, but for some reason, it utterly devolved into a personal bitch fest, with multiple people both baiting and engaging into personal attacks.

4 cards issued tonight is probably more than I've had to issue this entire year combined. I don't know where the personal beef some people have with each other stems from, and frankly, I don't care.

I'm going to leave this thread closed till tomorrow, to give some people a chance to cool off. When it re-opens, I expect everyone to have moved on. If not, I'll happily start upgrading warnings to bans if people can't act in a more mature manner. But the carry on today was really pathetic. Keep the personal bitch-fest to yourselves.

Was watching The Toys That Made Us and was wondering if AEW have made any moves in that direction? I remember TNA did a video game.
I know they're just new and less PG but even ECW had a toy line.
And Cody even appeared on the show for a bit.

Well accordingly there is an AEW game in development. Cody has referenced as much. It's been rumored Aki (no mercy n64, nwo revenge n64 etc) are the ones who are developing it.

May even be Yukes (Former WWE games developer) as they have split and, while saying they are "making their own wrestling game" - that could very well turn out to be AEW. So if they are going with a video game they have to have action figures in the process.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,803 ✭✭✭Sirsok

See Pentagon and Fenix have figures coming out in 2020 under a legends of Lucia libre line. 40 bucks each it looks like I've stopped collecting myself, it's become outrageously expensive.

MJF had a picture up of a head scan not so long ago which i fixated the video game or action figure!
