Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I totally messed up about company history as I'm focus about safety which is always mention here. I forgot to study the company so you need to research about Dublin Bus and then safety driving. that's all. and prefer to answer some question why you leaving your previous job to join dublin bus

Also just a little pointer, in my interview (and it was the same with other lads) they try to catch u out . They seen from my cv that I came from another driving job and the way they questioned me was , " from all your time on the road, SURELY you have seen or been involved in some sort of road rage ? "
I just said if I seen anyone get excited I just ignore them (when in reality they be getting 2 fingers out the window)

    Best of luck today

Did you apply with a B licence ?

Only asking because if a class starts 6th of August I can guess the next one wont be for at least 6 weeks after that ( just thinking about notice in current job , but it sounds like there will be plenty )

    Thanks and best of luck

    Thanks , very good.
Your training will be shorter than mine so.
    I only have the B.
I think they will wait till they have a full class of B licence applicants before they contact us. ( guessing )
    Thanks again for the info.

Go-Ahead are also hiring at the moment. It may be useful experience for those who are unsuccessful with their DB application when it comes to applying in the future.

No Nails left here either :-) .

A previous poster said they were starting August 6th and were a D licence applicant ,
and that they were given 3-4 weeks notice of start date .
So just guessing that if they only run one class at a time , they wont be bringing us in until that one is finished , only I have no idea how long the class is for D licence applicants , ( i believe its 4-6 weeks for B licence applicants )

Anybody out there with any info on how long training is for D licence applicants ?????

    Cheers

    Thanks LastStop ,
Next class most likely at least 4 weeks from 6th August then unless they run more than one class at a time .
So guessing at least 2 weeks till anyone gets notice .
    Thanks for that .

They have a new group start every Monday for a few weeks in a row before. depends on how efficient HR are and if they have trainers available.

I see they are having a female driver recruitment open day.

After all their huffing and puffing about equality and inclusiveness, that's a bit of a contradiction.

I mentioned this and was literally shot down....

    Equality me hoole

I mentioned this and was literally shot down....

    Equality me hoole

    All too common.

Looking forward to the HSE male nurse open day what with 92% of nurses being female......?

Corporate fluff and faux equality. Like in my old place there were cakes and balloons and a huge fuss made about international women's day. Tumbleweed for men's day. The smart women in the building saw it for what it was; condescending.
