Thought I'd support this new forum. I'm not a bus enthusiast, but I came across these historic gems on a FB page I frequent. Worth a look. Attachment not found. Attachment not found. Attachment not found. Attachment not found. Attachment not found.

It is 2020 and time to start something new. Back in 2016 I started Throwback Thursday. Every week it looks back on the bus services of the past in and around Dublin. It covers the Dublin City Services of CIE, Dublin Bus and more recently Go-Ahead Ireland. Provincial Past is going to look instead at what were the Provincial…
Not sure if we have one or not! Hopefully we don't so I don't look like an idiot, but have been coming across some videos on YouTube that I would like to post. I'll start with this one below, no reason only I just watched it and been wanting to post some videos on here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZzNwKLFNYU Three…
Hi all, I thought for 2016 I might post a photo from the archive every Thursday, showing buses from the past. The first shot was taken on this day in 1995, but I cannot guarantee all future shots will be from the same day as they are posted. RH 145 at Bray Station with an 84 to Kilcoole. 07/01/1995: Throwback Thursday (1)…
A new feature I thought I would start, which acts as a counterpoint to Throwback Thursday. That is about us in the present looking back at the past, whereas this is finding relics of the past that are still with us in the present. To begin with, we start on Gilford Park in Sandymount. This bus stop was served by the…
Dublin bus are looking to recruit part time drivers working late shifts Thursdays to Sundays, and Fridays to Mondays. I'm a Dublin bus driver and I'm just letting people know about it. Whatever other people tell you, it is a good job and its not a bad place to work. If you have any questions about the job I'd like to help…
Can anyone remember the number of the service that used to run across the Killimer→Tarbert ferry? Or maybe has a brochure from late 90s/early 00s when I knew it definitely ran? Trying to remember the service number and I can't. Also interested to know why it was discontinued, it was such a popular service with tourists.
I need some information on changes to bus route from Penzance to Land's End. What I need to know, is when did the Land's End Coaster route that also went to St Ives end? Before the section between Penzance to Land's End, became routes 1 & 1A.
Can someone in Dublin track this bus. New to JJ Kavanagh. Fairly certain I seen her the other day in Dublin with Bernard Kavanagh. Swirl branding on front. I was behind the wheel so couldn't get a photograph. This would be very unusual as the family don't get along with each other. There's beef there between them since the…
