Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Molly's fight a bit disappointing. i thought Rosa (vs Edwards) was super tough and aggressive. Nice to see new (to me at least) faces starting to come through.

dariush relentless and it's working well here but he'll be found
out against better opposition or rather knocked out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    great fight! had everything

shocked that was a split though, thought dariush won the first two

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

kape a sore loser, showboating but outworked, delighted for pantoja, experience and fighting against better opponents really showed though kape will learn plenty from that.

That was hard to watch. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the end of Frankie.

4 people missed weight so far for tomorrows event, one by 12.5lbs (Inc lb allowance). Ridiculous.

Fighting at FW and doesn't even make LW. That's a joke.

That's getting up to Gabi Garcia level.

Violent Bob Ross fight scrapped due to a covid test from one of Drakkers cornermen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

I've never seen that before where a fighter was in the cage and his opponent
    didn't make it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,739 ✭✭✭ASOT

    Terrible stoppage.

Jumped the gun saying terrible but it was too soon imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

tough one but looks like he was out for a split second but another ref and erosa would probably have got a few more shots in

    That was lovely from aspinal

second sub loss for arlovski in his 50th fight and how easy it came for Aspinall

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,739 ✭✭✭ASOT

Tom could potentially be a big star, he has the Charisma for it anyway in a very weak division.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

Imovov's coaches must have been gong nuts late on, so close to getting Hawes
    outa there

would win a rematch if it ever happened

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,739 ✭✭✭ASOT

Thought a draw was nailed on there.

Really enjoyed that fight... from mid 2nd rnd I thought no way Hawes would not survive,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,739 ✭✭✭ASOT

Yeah Imavovs coach will be going mental he should have finished him, Hawes was out round 3 really badly..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

Yes I think Imavov might mature into a killer... some of the elbows he thew were questionably legal, but the most of them were short sharp slices that looked lovely, I was just waiting for one to open up Hawes but he must have skin like leather.

first big test for daukaus but can he keep it standing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

good by daukaus but I really wanted to see him go into the second

I've a feeling he'd gas but as ever Oleiniks striking is cat

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

I agree, not many questions answered there, but a good performance.

I would like to see Daukaus take a few bodyshots, to me he looks quite open to a Stipe style dig to the liver.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    call this one :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

that's minners 4th time going the distance in 37 fights which is crazy for a fw

seems if he wasn't winning by sub he was losing by sub and its easy see why, had a feeling rosa would lock up a sub late on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

    Good fights tonight..

Very surprised she was given that last round even if vieira didn't do a whole lot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

This will be a great fight if blaydes decides to trade with lewis

    It's a fairly big if though:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

Yep I was surprised too, but the most effective work in round 3 was all in the last 20 seconds, seems ground control does not count for much tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

Whats the betting Lewis starts with a huge kick or knee.

Got high hopes but you never know how Lewis will perform.

Curtis Blaydes walks out to the Mortal Kombat theme. I love Lewis but I hope Blaydes wins based on that alone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,891 ✭✭✭SlowBlowin

My small bet is on Blades though..... I love Lewis though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,923 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

    Wow is all

Lewis definitely fighting for the title next. Amazing KO. Unreal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭Still Ill

Wow.. What a way to counter the takedown attempt :pac:

He looked huuge to me compared to Blaydes!

Great KO - Lewis is so powerful..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭Still Ill

Funny interview too.. It was like he'd just been woken up.. Chilled out guy.

What's happening next in heavyweight anyway? I know it's Stipe v Ngannou.. Who's Jones training for though?

Lewis vs Jones makes sense. Ngannous Vs Stipe is going to leave some injuries to both so getting Jones in there to deal with Lewis would be a great test of his chin. Would also sell massively as both are well known trash talkers in their own right.

Yeah, can't argue with that.. They need to do something with Jones pretty soon what with him doing all that bulking. Lewis seems like a perfect gatekeeper. Maybe that's even selling Lewis a bit short after seeing this fight.

They’ve confirmed it’s Jones v The winner of Stipe/Ngannou. He sat by to bulk up properly.

Lewis firmly in the no.2 spot.
I feel like heavyweight is interesting for the first time in a years.

The MMA gods were shining down for that KO.

Cannot stand blaydes ot his style, absolutely delighted.

Another quality Lewis interview after haha

    Anyone watch last night?

Don't think I'll bother unless anyone can recommend any decent fights from the card.

I did, deffo watch Munhoz v Rivera. Ankalaev v Krylov, Bueno Silva Vs De La Rosa and Croom Vs Caceres were decent enough too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,434 ✭✭✭Homelander

Munhoz v Rivera was a solid fight, Moise v Hernandez was really good as well. Few other OK fights but nothing remarkable. There was enough to make the card worth watching though.

Another two fights ended for fouls last night. Leon poked belals eye so bad it was bleeding. Ouch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,095 ✭✭✭hawaii501

Surely they could design gloves to prevent eye-poking.
It's horrible to see/watch and even worse when fights are ended as a result of this.

Dan Ige with the quickest KO ever? Right on the money
