I think I found the problem,
The box boots up in a sub epg that has no channels in it. When I select Fav and change it to another EPG the channels load up.

I see a few posts that you can set your default channel on boot up by pressing menu, any idea if the next steps to do this as I have too many options when I press menu.
I think this would fix the problem.

Go to the channel, press OK, press red for all channels then press menu and you'll have the option to set the startup channel

spark is under warranty !! see what they can do - maybe one of the lads close to ure way might have a go if nothing can be sorted

I'm running spark and was looking for some help on two things; firstly could anyone give a dumbed down guide on how to set a programme to record in a few hours or days time? Secondly is there any way of putting channels into groups like kids/films/ sports/etc.
I understand and have read earlier posts on this thread but a lot if it is about e2 and thought things might have changed since on spark with the posts being so old.

There is a tool called SparkEditor for arranging channels
and when i was using spark
i think to record you just went to EPG scrolled to the program you want and pressed add event you then got a choice of once off or weekly
there was also an option to setup a timer in the web browser

use my AA2 as a secondary box now so just leave spark on it; not done it in a while but you can defo add & edit favorites via the menu / channels / favorites (or some such) once in there you can set up favorites (accessed via FAV button on remote) it's actually fairly simple to tick and add channels to a fav and then sort them on the box, can also rename the FAV also. Won't take you long to do. As noted earlier recording is set via the EPG (presume you have the 7 day set up to download). Spark is fairly basic but does the job (just never take the new release straight away as they usually take a couple of iterations to iron out the bugs)

Hi folks,

having trouble getting M3 harddrive set up in Enigma (using freshpots image)
I can see the hard disk but keep getting a permanent time shift error.
Checking the permission on filezilla the media/hdd is 500 and it would let me change to 755.
Drive is also set as ntfs. should i change it to ext3, if so how? tried using the command
mkfs.ext3 -L RECORD /media/hdd

but no joy.

thoughts?

You cannot do it when it's mounted, use the umount command to remove it then format /dev/sda1

Just says time and 'boot' should say time and channel number.

isint there a fix for it when you go to plugins then download plugins there should be one there called VFD fix or something like that
download it and reboot

Is there a plugin for a wireless keyboard that anyone knows of ?

No plug in required. At least not for the wireless logitech keyboard I tested on Hyperion v4

I know the keyboard is working fine as it works on the android and windows
some of the keys work like back space and the number keys but not letters

Would it make any difference what usb port front or back ?

Only tested it in the front one as my hdd was connected to the rear one.

I think that plugin is for Hyperion image mate. I can't find it in hdmu image plugins anywhere. Any other solutions?

Yep just having a look around seems a bit elusive for HDMU
How old is the image your using
this is the most recent I seen on a quick look ( does not mention vfd )

The image is 15/04/2014 so it's quite new. I've been tweaking it for a couple of weeks now so I'm happy as it is, apart from this front panel thingy. Not a biggy like but solutions on other images have been found. I just thought I wasn't looking in the right places.

yep its not a biggie but it would be nice if everything worked as it should
and as you said seems to be sorted for other images so should not be long for HDMU

Has anyone actually tried it with a top class wifi signal on enigma? Considering it was nearly runnin ok for me on mobile broadband
