Zero tolerance. But the lefty liberals will shout the loudest because they don't have to live with this in their areas.

There is a comment in that article which sums it up nicely:

"The country has gone to hell"

Could it be heroin addicts who were after the foil? There are reports of shops refusing to stock KitKats because of this.

Don't know if letting the Guards have guns would resolve anything....

Jesus Christ, the sooner they ban kit kats altogether the better, people are being driven mad by that much chocolate and wafer in one go.

    Actually it would ,

Give them immunity through means .ie let them get on with the job of upholding and enforcing the law,

Rather than bleeding hearts screaming more rights for scum

In most European cities you have van loads of police parked up and tooled up waiting for situations like this to arise

no point in a couple a short arsed foot patrol gardai trying to deal with animals like these

Who said give them to the Guards?, suppliers of Kit Kats should have automatic weapons at this stage.

20 minutes this went on for with no guards arriving. Is there a solution to this sh1te or do we just have to accept it

For those complaining about the 20 minute wait............ well the tripod speed cameras need someone manning them, and who is gonna open all the letters with "white" powder in them if a sub 20 minute response is demanded?

Isn't there a Garda station on Lower Gardiner Street? or somewhere near there

They don't really look like heroin addicts. They are wearing standard issue runners and tracksuits. More than likely to be the usual teenage scumbags who like to hang around corners in the North Inner City of an evening. It's their uniform.

I read somehwere in the last week a quote from someone working in a shop stating that a good 80% of those Animal chocolate bars sold in his shop are to Heroin Addicts

It is often kept behind the counter for that very reason.
