Amiko Alien 2 Triple Tuner Combobox

Not sure if this was answered in the previous posts, but will this box(http://www.satworld.ie/amiko-alien-2-triple-plus-tuner.html) display both the freesat channels and saorview on the same EPG?

Forget previous, got it working, did a manual scan with the Mount Leinster frequencies & picked up Saorview without crashing. First impressions are impressive.

Alright mate. Tried the Saorview scan there and got the green screen, the same as you. What are the frequencies for the manual scan? Im in wexford too.

The STB, TV and Pi are left on all the time (TV and STB on stand by) if that makes a difference. The Pi and the STB have different ip address's (.23 & .26) without any interference from me, i don't know the ip address of the tv as i'm not at home at the moment.

I've tried to include everything that i think you might need to know to decide if i could use dreamdroid when not at home, do you think it would be possible?

Also, I tried installing dreamdroid on my Nexus 4 running kit kat but it wouldn't install, i think this might be done to me using ART runtime. I'll try installing it on a tablet i have when i get home.

I also have the nexus 4 running art, but have no problem running dreamdroid. It works prefectly on home network, as does VU+


Have noted White Heart Loon and yllw.ldbttr's replies also (thanks). Still having issues. Have a no-ip account to track external ip, set fixed ip for alien box and am using that as host ip. I'm pretty sure my problem is with the router. Its an Eircom Zyxel 660. I like to blame my router for lots of things!
I think I have port forwarding set up to forward on to the AA2. Will mess around a bit more, see if I can figure it out. and post results here.

will mess around and see what happens. guessing that its my router settings ~(firewall set to "low")

Update- seems to be working now. Changed port away from 80 . All working now. changed port number on openwebif on the box, then forwarded that port number as above. settings above may help others

Its odd as it was working up until a few weeks ago ,not sure why it isnt working now .

@slevster those eircom pos routers are notoriously poor.

I ended up setting that router to bridge mode and sourced a decent gigabit router that could handle my network internally and allow me to configure it a little easier, did the same with the sky router now that I've moved ISP.

Not saying it doesn't work, but I found it to be unreliable for both internal and external networking.

Anyone know if it is recommended to have the Swap file on or off when using Hyperion 3 with a usb hard drive ?
I've always had it on and I'm wondering if this may be causing a few issues .

Why dont you add the Saorview frequencies via Dreambox Edit to your bouquets ?
