That's feckin lousy after waiting your 2 weeks to have to start from scratch again. I honestly feel for you. I'm on my second order too, but I'm going to try and hold out to see what happens when my 1-2 weeks are up (23/2/13). Keep us posted with any developments.
    C.

It shipped an hour ago, so happy days! Finally...

I just ordered via play store, with tunnelbear on and added my parcel motel address to my goolge wallet.

Do I have to add this address to my credit card in my bank?

    Thanks.

People have received phones both ways, I don't know if it makes a difference. It can't hurt, but it's extra effort.

My second order which was placed on the 15th just shipped. I didn't add the Parcel Motel address to my card.

How long does it take after getting the shipped email for the Parcel Motel to get it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 229 ✭✭K3v

From what I have read the parcel tracking Google give you is not reliable. Seems the best way to keep track is to check your Parcel Motel balance for €3.50 been taken out. 2-3 three days I think. Mine was shipped on Friday, so I am hoping to be collecting it on Wednesday all going well.

Check your Parcel Motel account and see of any parcel has been received.

    Hi,

I'm a bit of a noob so hope someone can help me with this question..

I live in the UK but moving back to Ireland in July!

Really want this phone so badly. I have no problem getting it in the UK, but I'm worried that if I get it, and use my o2 UK sim card in it, it will lock it to that network, like an iPhone would. Am I correct or is it permanently unlocked so that I could just take it to Ireland with me and put any sim in it AFTER having a UK sim in it?

Also, do all the features work on it in Ireland does anyone know? I know it is not available to be shipped to Ireland, so that's making me think otherwise?

    Thanks for your help

This is not like a iPhone and so will not lock to any specific network. :)

Everything on it will work in Ireland, minus the UK Google Services such as Google Music, etc... at least not directly anyway ;) Only because these are not available in Ireland. Nothing to do with the phone.

Lads, when you were entering the adress to go with your credit/debit cards in google wallet, did you use the PM address with PM ID or without PM ID? As well, where did you put it in when you did so

I'm probably gonna get killed for this but why can't you order the neus 4 through Amazon uk? 472 euro delivered to parcel motel.

Amazon.co.uk won't ship it to an Irish address. I went through to checkout and it got blocked. They will ship to a Uk address, even with an Irish credit card.

    Cheers Danger781,

Will I have trouble getting a new micro sim for the Nexus 4 in Ireland (on any network) or will I be able to get one quite easily when I get there?

I've seen people 'doctor' their normal mini-sim by cutting it carefully. A bit suspicious of that though!

but what about layout app settings etc..

Ordered mine using N Ireland address as billing and delivery address (even though true billing address is ROI) on Feb 16. Got order receipt same day. Got email Feb 18 telling me it has shipped. Is this a record?, I am still in shock, can't believe it is on its way.

The tracking says it is in Dublin!!. Birmingham to Dublin to Belfast............ mad that I can't just intercept it while in Dublin and save them the trouble of delivering to Belfast.

Mine shipped on Thursday too, but is showing as being in Dublin :(

For the two people above me, the tracking information provided is abysmal. Neither of mine ever left Dublin according to their information. Best bet is to check up on your parcel motel account. They will debit you €3.50 when it arrives in Belfast and you get it the next day.

You can get a microSim no problem at all. Pop in to your network store or carphone warehouse and they will do it for you.

In the section where you are now (Account settings) I entered my own personal address. PM address was only added with the card. I specified this is my guide. :)

There's an app called Carbon available on the app store. It's from the same makers of ClockworkMod. Does not require root and there is a free version.

    :)

I'll keep an eye on my PM account so! :D

Since the old phone is not rooted, you could try Carbon to backup. If you are using the stock launcher, it may transfer the layout over, but for the future, I would say use Nova, which allows you to save layouts. If you install Nova now, it may import the layout from the existing launcher, which you can then save and transfer over to the new phone.

Hi all, posted earlier on dis but never got a reply.
I was just wondering would it be possible to order the nexus 4 from google using an Irish AIB visa debit card but added the belfast parcel motel address to my card's list of delivery addresse (on the aib website) and added this card to my google wallet account and added the parcel motel belfast address to my google wallets billing and shipping address?

I know that is a long enough question but i would really appreciate the help ! :)

Ordered Thursday shipped Friday. On your tracking link put your DIR number into www.parcelforce.com to track it. Mine is showing out for delivery Belfast.
The original track link is still showing its in the uk airport.

For the guys who have ordered recently, how quickly did your order change from "Order sent to Google Commerce" to "Your order has been received by Google Commerce"?

Also, do you get an e-mail to confirm this or is the next e-mail you get (after the initial confirmation order mail) the one advising you that the order has shipped?

Put through another order there (just altered my billing address to my real one, with the PM Post Code at the bottom), so am curious if I'll get any notice. My last order is still pending (pre-order) since the 6th.... :(

What's the email to Support Google Commerce Ltd. I would like to ask them about my order?

Nice spot pal, mine is also in the truck out for delivery.

    Same here!

I've changed the settings on my PM account to allow text contact any time of the day or night. By default, this is set from 7am to 11pm, so if deliveries are outside of this time, you won't get notified!
