I knew it, I was waiting to long...
Have to try again;) Never give up ;)

Google Inc. has cancelled your order. You have not been charged.

This order was likely canceled for one of the following reasons:

Details provided for your credit card do not match those on-file with your financial institution.
The address information provided was incomplete and could not be verified.
To block an attempt to purchase more than the maximum allowable devices.

I ordered last night and got an email today saying it had been shipped. The only problem was I didn't think it had gone through first time so pressed buy again and I accidently ordered two and it didn't let me cancel the second so I'll just have to try and sell the second one.

Looks like most of the orders are getting shipped now.. I had originally ordered on 7th (using tips from this thread - with myspare gmail account) and it was just stuck on order placed status.. So, decided to order one more with my primary gmail account on 12th hoping to cancel one as soon as I was sure of one of them getting shipped.

My first order has now shipped (yesterday), the second isn't even showing up as order received in google wallet, but on submitting a cancellation in google wallet got back a response saying its too late for cancellation and it will be shipped. Apparently I can cancel by refusing delivery, but I wonder if I can get Parcel Motel to refuse delivery on my behalf. I'm also presuming shipping charges will have to be forfeited if cancelled this way..

Of course, the other option is to pass on the second handset (when received) to a fellow boardsie on this thread who haven't been successful with their order. Its a 16GB model if anyone's interested and will be passed on at cost (billed euro amt + parcel motel cost)..

Edit: Two boardsies in line for my spare (mcw92 and emo72in that order). No more requests, thanks!

How much is the total cost? I could be tempted. Tempted to move away from iOS for a change

    I ordered one more time;)
    My question is:
What home address and phone number do you enter in Google Wallet Account Settings? Irish or UK?
Billing address for debit/credit card and shipment is PM address

In account setting I have my personal address.

In my credit card settings I have the PM address as billing address.

The 16GB should be around €345 mark I reckon incl parcel motel charge subject to minor currency fluctuations..

When I entered the 353 in the phone number the Country changed to Ireland. I was able to change it back to the UK but I decided to enter the Nightline Newtownabbey phone number instead.

Order went through OK, now comes the wait to see if it cancelled or delivered.

I ordered my Nexus 4 on Monday night, still nothing but the initial email with my "Google Play Order Receipt". Anyways, I wanted to buy an app in the meantime, but when I go into the play store on the Galaxy S that I;m currently using, I get the UK version. I think this is because I set my gmail to UK before I order the Nexus 4, as well as signing up for Google Music and making every possible address from the UK in google wallet. I was gonna buy this app seeing as its only a €1 for the weekend. Should I not chance it do ye think, expecially if it'll be downloading to an Irish IP on my phone?

Personally I don't see how you would have a problem. You might be roaming for example. Either way I don't imagine Google would be interested in putting in all the resources that would be necessary just to trip up people ordering the phone from Countries that they haven't released it in yet. They are after all still getting a sale.

€110 surplus on both models though, the benefit of Phonesonline.ie usually is that the phones are factory unlocked so they should be cheaper since that's the default Nexus setup.

Came across a post about this last night and now I'm really interested in this phone!
If I was to have this sent back from the states what's the story with charging it etc? As in if I were to buy a uk charger for it could I just plug it in here without it getting fried.. I'm assuming it would work fine with our voltage but better to be safe than sorry!

Also is it worth it to fork over the extra few $$$ for the 16gb model?

Well, I tried this there a second ago and It didn't work. It just said there was a technical problem and to try again after 24 hours. Kind of concerned about this now and the implications for my Nexus 4 order. If I can use that info to buy an app, what hope is there that they'll let through a 300€+ order?? What I don't get though is that there clearly no issue with google accessing the funds. I mean, when I ordered the Nexus 4, in my "available funds" in my account, its down €338 from the actual balance so google clearly have access to the funds, its just they decide not to take them until shipping. Can;t see why there would be any issue as regards an app tbh..

EDIT: Had a look around and this same thing happened another poster (See here) and their order shipped eventually so hopefully..

Emailed support after the shipping date they gave me went by with no email saying order has shipped, got this...
    Hello James,

Thank you for contacting Google Play! I understand you're concerned about when you will be receiving your device and the authorization hold on your account. I understand how important this is, so rest assured I am more than happy to look into this.

When you placed the order an authorization hold was put on your account. I can assure you you were not charged yet. The authorization hold is there to verify that the funds are available when we ship the device out.

This insures that there is no delay when we actually ship the device out.

Your order was supposed to have shipped by today, so what I am going to do is send this over to one of my specialist to take a look into. They will be able to let me know exactly what's going on and when the device will ship out.

It typically takes 24-48 hours to hear back, and I will let you know as soon as I have information to provide.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reply to this email or contact us via phone at 1-855-83-NEXUS.

    Regards,

    Adam
    The Google Play Support Team

that was yesterday and haven't heard back since =/

I think I have the same problem. My order has always pending status and google has not received my order yet. Google blocked money on my bank account too. I am from Slovakia and I oredered Nexus 4 from Germany. Now when I open my browser with German VPN and I try to buy app or music or anything else I always get this message (on picture below)...
Zonda999, have you tried to buy an app also from your browser or you tried only with google play mobile app?

Has anyone tried reship? They ship from the states using a standard address to complete the purchase, then redirect to your own address for a fee.

I tried to buy the app using the play store on my browser with Tunnelbear (UK VPN) on. That's the exact same message I got. I could try using my the play store on my phone, which would have an Irish IP address obviously but I;m not sure if I should..

I rather wouldn't try to use play store on your phone with Irish IP adress. Be patient ;).
I had to cancel my order because I need to change my delivery adress. So please write it here if your order will be shipped.

I got the same error trying to order a n10 and shortly after it became out of stock, despite showing in stock minutes earlier. That must be the reason.

I ended up ordering the 16gb version.

    Now to pray...

Ordered yesterday the 8gb version. Eta for delivery is the 28th with status still pending. Hopefully it'll move forward tomorrow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,211 ✭✭✭gzoladz

Where do you see the eta? I can't find it anywhere.

I ordered this morning and it has now changed to pre ordered. Not sure what exactly that means

Took me ages to find, its lurking at bottom of the playstore. https://play.google.com/store/account

Thanks, mine actually doesn't have a delivery date yet. Maybe after it moves from pre ordered to the next stage.

Oh I will be don't you worry! And I'll be emailing Google Commerce if nothing has had happened by Tuesday, because they said it would ship in less than one week.

Yeah, I won;t bother going for that app just to be sure. Only reason I wanted to buy it is because it was only one euro for the weekend only
    Eoin087 wrote: »

DEFINITELY, get the 16Gb, 8Gb is by far too little storage. By right, the Nexus 4 should be 16Gb and 32Gb, but that would go against Google trying to push cloud storage using Drive. Anyways, even if you do buy into all that, the 8Gb is too little IMHO
