That is a bargain, even if it has 300k miles of the worst potholed country lanes in Cavan under its belt :D

    Those alloys are hideous.

    Worth a look otherwise. :)

To be fair, Cavan has some nice pothole-free roads, even the backroads and boreens, many's a night spent driving round that neck of the woods

If it were anywhere in Meath, then I'd be weary :P I really must get some pics of the roads up here, all neglected

Usually found on coupés, alas they are gack imo

You can probably get this '05 407 for about €1,500

    View2-15332806.jpeg

No demand for these cars at all, so I'd negotiate hard. Make an offer that only stands if the owner pays for the NCT and the car passes...

That particular one has a new interior and new rear light clusters. What is up with that? Flood damage? Driver seat looks immaculate alright.

If the seller put a two year test on that they'd be mad to entertain an offer of €1500, they wouldn't need to either me thinks.

Well you might be right. Who knows there might be a buyer out there happy to buy at the asking price. If I were interested, I'd sit tight for a few weeks hoping and expecting the car not to sell and then come in with an offer ;)

    I sniff a bargain here and I don't sniff often :D

Yes it's tattier than Joan Burtons face but it's about as cheap as cheap motoring gets. Offer €280 and chance the NCT in April. If you're struggling at the moment trying to run your own car this could be ideal.

That was af-thefragile (not exact nick) I think.

    Not your ornery onager

I really like this, minus the boot spoiler.
Looks fairly well taken care of and has a years NCT.
    Tan leather:cool:
    Timing belt done <10k ago
Does have high enough mileage but could be worth the risk

Ya thought as much from the square plates. Pretty unique compared to a celica, nearly nicer looking too imo, or maybe it's just because it's different:)

First time posting, but I've been lurking for ages. I particularly love this thread.

Saw that yoke go for 150 at auction there a couple of months ago. It was merlin auctions by the way.

A few days later I saw it up as "a real bargain" at about 950. Now it's going with NCT.

Reading the ad and knowing what I know about the car just makes me more wary for the future I suppose.

A booted Celica with a Camryesque nose :pac:
    If there's a 3sge under the bonnet it'd be a decent bus imo :)

Love tan seats on an alfa! Might see how much extra it is to insure this. What's the 1.6 engine in this (currently 1.2 polo that's driving me insane!) or is it to small for the car? Car looks to be in Unreal condition and with 13 months nct might be worth it!:)

It's not too bad. 120BHP is more than most similar size engines of that era and the 1.6 revs up nicely. The 156 is fairly light too.

If I had the money I would be all over that. (would get rid of the spoiler though!)

LPG converted. Personally I think it's good value for someone who doesn't want a diesel but the cheap fuel prices

    Jag s-type 03 for a grand

Has to be too good to be true.
Must be something up, otherwise it'd have a fresh NCT.

Why would someone convert it and sell it the next day? Bit odd!
