I only figured out last night that Jim's boss, Ralph Beckett, is having a very poor run lately. I suppose I was blind to the fact because I'm just backing blind anyway. He has a few at Epsom in the next few days and if his form doesn't start to turn around there then I will be reducing stakes on any Beckett horse until fortunes improve as no doubt it has reduced the profitability of this log in a big way.
