Maybe not but when I looked up Beckett's 14 day record the other day there were quite a few runners which is quite a few tenners and there was zero return from any of them. He's probably made up for those today so we'll give him a chance for the next few days again.

Still amazed at how well this is going, thus still waiting for it all to go tits up.

Double at Sandown. I don't know how to take a photo with my phone and post it here but if anyone has any doubts as to my honesty I'll gladly text on a photo of the docket. Had Fire Ship for €20 @ 11/4, Signed Up for €10 e/w @ 8/1 and €5 on the double. By my calculations that should be worth c. €350. Human nature - I'm pissed off now cos PP had a special in their shop, if you backed a winner at SP they'd pay out double the odds. Won't complain though! Super day for the log too.

Delighted for you mate. He's some jockey all round in fairness. I'm always confident he'll do the very best he can but that first and foremost he'll bring the horse home safely. You won't see him thrashing an animal for the sake of a place, he just knows when his race is run. A true horseman.

Thanks Mike. Amazingly, it could be so much better if Beckett's yard was on form. I was beginning to think that there might be something seriously wrong there til Electrelane won the German Guineas. It just seems he's having an unbelievably bad run of form on home soil.

At some point nearly all top yards have a purple patch so you could almost consider Beckett as an extra cherry on top when it happens.
