Yeah some excellent promos throughout, the best being from Punk after winning the title against Aries in the first match. He had the fans in the palm of his hand chanting his name, cut his promo, and had them all chanting CM Pu$$y at the flick of a switch.

Daniels comes out to challenge Punk for a title match, but Punk walks out of the arena with the belt, then Daniels cuts a very good promo in the ring.

Also the week after winning the belt, Punk comes down to the ring in a suit and with his hair dyed purple and cuts another awesome promo before signing his WWE contract in the middle of the ring!

Off sick today so watching "OMG!" on Netflix.

There's something that bugs me though. I love Santino, but he's staying in character for his talking heads bit and its so frustrating. Same with Booker who is shouting at the camera. On the one hand, you've got Punk, Bryan and even Lawler who are obviously just talking about these awesome moments, genuinely laughing and having real fun. Then you've got Santino coming in talking in his accent and acting as if they are real >_< Hate when that happens on DVDs.

Watched Tommy Dreamers "Share Your Knowledge" last night and found it enjoyable overall. It's basically Tommy just answering questions from up and coming wrestlers about the business but it has some good moments.

He even mentioned a Brock return in it :P. It did get a little weird though when he claimed MMA was a work which was pretty odd but other than that, solid watch all round.

The smarky fans that you can her on the 'Summer of Punk' DVD are quite irritating.

Other then that though it is awesome!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

No,there's no WWE content on the UK/Irish Netflix, but there's a good amount of it on the US version which is ridiculously easy to access!

Hadn't heard anything about this documentary before, but it is about a small indy promotion ... looks like it might be pretty interesting

Is the Wrestling road diaries DVD worth getting?

Is the Wrestling road diaries DVD worth getting?

A+ is my official rating. Some people say it would have been tighter edited but I thought it fit theme of the indies being punctuated by largely mundane rather than sex drugs and rock and roll. Get the extras disc with it too.

Is the Wrestling road diaries DVD worth getting?

Yes an excellent watch and as Rovert said, get the bonus disc too, for the 2 hilarious phone pranks on it!

Can't recommend that triple movie collection highly enough, worth the price alone just for Ariel's video diary!

Ariels vid diary should of been kept for the 25th anniversary release. Thought the porn parody trailers in extras section were unnecessary.
