    Hey everyone,

Just had my WI and I'm down 1lb this week which takes me to my GOAL & a half a lb below!!! I'm soooooo happpy! :D:D:D

I've lost 2 stone 12lbs in just under a year! For anyone that is feeling a bit disheartened, keep going, it's worth every bit when you hear the words "You've reached your goal!"

Congrats Laney! Reaching your goal in a year is amazing! Any tips for the rest of us? xx

Had my WI yesterday eve, was just too heart sick to come on here straight after as per usual and post my result - I knew it was going to be bad being as I had a bad week and seeing as last week I weighed in morning and this week evening. I was late and the meeting was on the go when I got there so while the leader was expalining the book to the new recruits the clerk weighed me in.

Sweet divine but I am so ashamed to even write this - I was up 6 and 1/2 pounds!!!! I was just in shock, weighed myself at home and ref that I'm up 3 pounds but I always take the WW scales as the absolute. As I said I wasn't great this week, ate my activity and weekly points but I really don't see where the blazes all those pounds came from.

Feeling totally blagh about it but determined to totally bite the bullet this week and point, track and hopefully lose!

Caros, I would say half of the gain is due to you weighing in the evening. There can be a HUGE difference between morning and evening WI and you would have eaten a bit more aswell. I find even if I haven't eaten much, I am always heavier in the evening.

I'd say I am going to gain a half a stone (or more ) in my 2 week (wedding and honeymoon) break from WW, it is going to be embarressing but I have made the choice and have come to terms with it. I will just have to get it all off again :) And hopefully before my birthday (24th Sept). :)

Ya Monife I figured the morning/evening thing would account for a bit of it alright but 6 1/2 pounds :confused: Going by my usual performance this will take me a month to lose. Anyway have updated my goal to be at 2 stone lost by mid October, my birthday and just before my holidays!

Where are ye off to on honeymoon? The countdown is really on for you now!!!

Going to Westport :) Not your average honeymoon destination but delighted with it as we havent much money (and none for a honeymoon, so were not going to go on one) but my grandmother gave us 700euro for a honeymoon :)

Just chalk it down to being a bad week and move on. My leader says not to take the scales as your only form of feedback, you could weigh in tomorrow and get a very different result.

    ProPoints® Value: 8
    Servings: 4
    Preparation Time: 12 min
    Cooking Time: 18 min
    Level of Difficulty: Easy

Make the most of the barby with these tasty burgers. Leave out the blue cheese if you're not a fan - they'll be 8 ProPoints values per serving

    Ingredients
5 spray(s) Cooking Spray, Calorie Controlled
    3 tablespoons Barbecue Sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons Hot Pepper Sauce (Tabasco)
    500 g Chicken, Mince, Raw
4 medium Shallots, peeled, thinly sliced
50 g Celery, Cooked, finely chopped
    30 g Breadcrumbs, Dried, (1/4 cup)
    2 clove(s) Garlic, crushed
4 medium Bread Roll, White, Soft, halved
    1/2 individual Lettuce, shredded
    1 medium Tomato, sliced

    Instructions
Spray a grill with cooking spray and place over medium-high heat.

Combine barbecue sauce and tabasco sauce in a small bowl and set aside.

Place chicken, 1 tbsp barbeque sauce mixture, shallots, celery, breadcrumbs and garlic in a medium size bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Using wet hands (to prevent mixture from sticking), form chicken mixture into 4 x 1cm thick patties. Brush top of patties with remaining barbecue sauce mixture.

Place patties on preheated grill, sauce side down. Brush other side with remaining sauce. Grill for approximately 5 minutes each side, or until cooked through. Lightly toast rolls on grill during last minutes of cooking.

Assemble burgers using rolls, lettuce, patties, tomato and cheese.

    Notes
If you like your food really spicy, give the tomato an extra drizzle with tabasco sauce just before serving.

if a product, Bavaria Alco Free beer, has zero protien and carbs and fat but has 78 calories per bottle how many pro points.

Using the eating out guide would suggest 2 pro points per half pint but that is based on standard non alco beers which use a lot of sugar unlike Baravia Non alco beer.

This is what I drink - I tend not to get lime cordial just use the fresh lime juice so I just count the vodka (3pp). AFAIK you only count the juice when you've had quite a bit (I read 13 tsp on the WW boards)

Hi I'm just into my fourth week back at WW and I'm still getting used to the propoint system. How many points are there in a fillet of Whiting? I've looked in the books and searched this thread but I can't find the answer. Thanks in advance

Hey everyone! Just joined WW on wednesday. Had a baby 7 and a half months ago and still have a st and a half to get back to my pre baby weight, which is still another 8lbs off my target weight. Oh dear god, just drank my body weight in alcohol this weekend!! Not to mention the curry chips I had last nite. Im trying really hard to stick to ww and am doing well exercise wise but life keeps getting in the way (when I say life I really mean weekends & alcohol). Deffo heading for a gain this week:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,089 ✭✭✭✭LizT

Really proud of myself, went out and had no drinks at all last night. Our leader had a list with all the alcohol pro points on them in the meeting, it;s actually depressing! Got to get out and do some walking, hopefully I will lose my 1.5 this week.

Hey all! Hope you're having a good weekend :) Welcome to any newbies!!

I've had a good few days. I haven't had any binges used some of my weeklies each day. No alcohol either and I've done exercise. I took a sneaky look at the scales and it hasn't made any difference. I really want to get past the 11.11 which I've been stuck at for months :( Skipped WI last week because it was my TOTM and I knew I was up and didn't want to waste a tenner and I was up 1lb the week before

Thnks for the welcomes :) today is my fourth day on WW. I think I'm doing well but not seeing a huge difference on the scales. Keeping to my pts every day and have only used 5 of my weeklies.
Going out for anniversary 2nite with my DH. Sooo nervous about eating out! Any advice for a newbie like me???

Don't be afraid to ask how things are cooked - obviously fried food is going to be higher in points than grilled etc, anything creamy will be high in points. If bread is put on the table, try not to eat it. Don't be afraid to ask for things to be cooked differently - eg with less butter etc. One of the books in your blue folder has some points for restaurant dishes.
