Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Around 375-400 seems to be the going price on adverts.

    Though if I were you i wouldn't run it OC'd, shortens the life of the 8600m dramatically.

    well it cost me €1,400 only its 2yrs old

    I never touched the graphic card or cpu the msi company did the overclocking not me

    Ah thats fair enough. I was thinking of upgrading the lot but its going to cost me at least 500-600E to go X6 with decent mobo & gpu. Don't really know if I need to. I do a bit of 3D CAD software/simulations and a bit of a gamer but nothing really serious. Might just get SSD & upgrade ram. That should make it a bit faster. Cheers for the help Dublin_Gunner. Appreciate it.

    Keep your board, nothing wrong with it, in fact, it's an excellent AM2+ board.

    If you want to save moneyt, but increase your rigs power a fiar bit, get a Phenom X6 1090T (Black Edition) for €177.95 and a decent card, even the new HD5850 'Extreme' edition for €109.90

    Thats less than €300 for a HUGE upgrade, and MUCH more of a difference than ram or SSD would make. IN fact, upgrading your ram will make sweet FA of a difference.

    What type of mac is it? DO you have the specs? If it will have to be replaced, you'd have to try source the same model, or get a similar performing new model.

    Either way, probably a lot.

    Is it an iMac? Mac pro? Macbook?

    You're way off the mark.

    AMD Phenom II X4 940 €70
    2 Gb DDR2 Ram €20
    Seagate 250Gb HDD €20
    Radeon 4870 1Gb €50
    NEC DVD RW DL Disk Drive €10
    Asus M4N78 SE Motherboard €40

    Total = €210 You won't get any more for those companents than that, unless you rip off some poor mug. Even at that, I've priced the CPU fairly high, not sure you'd even get that for it.

    Depending on its condition, you might still get around €7-800 for it. Its a fairly niche product though, so finding a buyer might be difficult

    Honestly 250 would be sensible, 300 pushing it if you're extremely lucky. Very much doubt you'd get it for 300 though

    @themastero, what else is in that PC, what model number, power supply etc.

    Processor: Intel Celeron Duo E1400 @ 2.00 GHz.
    Ram: 4GB DDR2 Frequency (333.33 Mhz) (if that means anything important)
    Motherboard: Packard Bell MCP73VT-PM
    Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 7050/nForce 610i
    OS:Windows Vista 32-bit (it came with the computer so I'm unsure if it's reuseable.
    HDD: 160 GB Hitachi Something.

    How much could I expect to get?

    @Dale

    667MHz DD2 RAM, Integrated Graphics, Small HDD, Slow processor... I'd say around 250 if you're lucky.

    @Ideo

    That computer is really outdated and you would get around 200 max for it. I personally wouldn't pay that much.
    For 350 you can get used parts and build a Quad Core DDR3 AMD PC.
