Did a quick search for completed sales of this, and also without the v5535 as search terms, and no complete laptops came up, just chargers and some spares. My guess is they're not very popular, and I doubt you'd get 200. Posting laptops can be pricey too.

Youd get around 400 yoyos at the moment.
    I doubt it
The known problems with those graphic cards will put off
    many.Very expensive to replace:(

Old games PC, still plays latest games well enough.

-NZXT Lexa chassi - fitted with extra red and blue led fans and fan controller
    -Abit Nforce 680i IN9 32X-Max
    -Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6700 @ 2.66GHz
    -Thermalright 120 extreme heatsink
    -2 X Geforce 8800GTX in SLi
    -4gb Ram - 4 X 1GB 1PC2-6400 OCZ Platinum sticks - with dual fan cooler
-Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Fatality extreme gamer
    -DVD Rom
    -DVD RW+/-
    -500GB HD
    -OCZ GameXstream 1000 watt PSU
    -Legit Windows 7 Home

Used to have 2 75GB Raptor drives in RAID 0 but one of the failed and I sold the other one. Cost me over €2000 back in 06. Unfortunately the mobo wasn't very good and abit are now gone, the cmos sometimes gets corrupted and you need to go into the bios and save the configuration again. Never got any decent overclocks on it so I left it at stock for most of it's life.

just want to find out, out of curiosity how much my comp would be worth now.
I have a custom built gaming comp which I built myself almost 2 years ago but has been upgraded a few times you of spend around just over €1000 maybe €1200 hard to tell since i upgraded it a few times so i would like to know how muc my comp is worth now (be upgrading again at the end of the year by adding another 5850) BTW I'm only look for the value of the comp not any of the peripherals:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=70545071&postcount=692

Would like to know so if the worse comes to the worse I'd know how much I can put it up for.

IMH - Quickly working it out in my head it would have a resale value around the 650 mark.

Not including the screen, I'd value the parts at €385 or thereabouts.

While its actually still a decent-ish system, those parts have devalued quite a lot in recent times

Around 375-400 seems to be the going price on adverts.

Though if I were you i wouldn't run it OC'd, shortens the life of the 8600m dramatically.

Thats a Phenom II x2 555 BE yeah? (B55 lets me know its an unlocked Phenom II).

Those parts would probably sell for about €50 each, so about €200.

Can't give you a price on the full rig as I assume this is an upgrade job, and you're keeping the case, HDD, PSU etc

  • Registered Users Posts: 77 ✭✭smjpl

I would be doing yeah. Won't be dong it for a while though. A part from the fact that the cpu is unlocked from an X2, is there much difference compared to a genuine X4. Whats the graphics card like. I know its a stupid question cause I own it but I've nothing to compare it too. First reasonably decent PC I've had.

Nope. Exact same under the hood. They tend not to overclock quite as well, but is a cheap route to a decent quad core :)

HD4890 is a very decent DX10 card, in fact, one of the fastest DX10.1 cards.

I recently had a HD4870 and loved it. Its a good card, but is beginning to be surpassed by midrange DX11 cards now. You may get up to around €70 for it though, maybe I was being a little harsh on the pricing, but with the release of the 550ti and HD6750 bringing really decent cards just past the €100 mark, its value has dropped a bit.

Before x-mas you might have gotten 80-100 for it.

Ah thats fair enough. I was thinking of upgrading the lot but its going to cost me at least 500-600E to go X6 with decent mobo & gpu. Don't really know if I need to. I do a bit of 3D CAD software/simulations and a bit of a gamer but nothing really serious. Might just get SSD & upgrade ram. That should make it a bit faster. Cheers for the help Dublin_Gunner. Appreciate it.
