I've no doubt that McKevitt receives as much angry mail and phone-calls as he creates with his nasty little hate-rag.

If you're in Dublin and have an hour or two to spare, have you thought about dropping out to his place in Tallaght:

And asking to have a word with him?

If I were a cruel sort(*), I'd suggest suggest signing him up to receive as much junk mail as possible, now that you have his address. The saucier and raunchier the better.

    (*) But I'm not a cruel sort, so I won't suggest it.
An extremely cruel person might also suggest that with a throwaway 3V credit card code, paid with cash, naturally, one could sign somebody up to some nice gay porn magazine subscription.

Just throw the thing in the bin, no big deal.

So its alright for them to insult me on my own property?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,673 ✭✭✭AudreyHepburn

    Just throw it out.

I'm sure that whoever delivered was doing so to insult or offend you.

Have you seen the Swedish reported crime rates recently?
    http://www.mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/countries-with-highest-reported-crime-rates.html

It doesn't look too rosy compared to countries that value our Christian ideals and have at least Moral and Ethical values.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Yeah but what's the paedophilia crime rate like? Anywhere close to the Catholic Church's? Yeah didn't think so.

I did read that and yes that was insulting. But maybe she didn't intend it to seem that way? Maybe she thought she was helping you when you looked unwell?

Anyway it's only paper. Chuck it out.

I wouldn't worry about that. It's an artifact of the Swedish crime reporting sytem. They don't neatly divide crimes into misdemeanour and criminal like most countries do so thye can cook the books.

I have a no junk mail sign up on my front door. The only people who seem unable to read it are the people that deliver the Alive Catholic news paper door to door.

I rang them last month requesting that they refrain from putting it through the door in future. The lady refused to tell me who was delivering them to my area but said it wasn't one of their own group of delivery people, as they adhere to no junk mail signs.

Came home today and there was another one stuck in the door.

I do not agree with any of the crap they write and feel I shouldn't have this kind of stuff thwarted at me in my own home.

I'd enjoy it like a copy of Viz if I didn't know they were actually being serious.

Anyway how do I get this to stop?

Calling something junk is pretty pointless tbh. If someone has gone to the bother of spending their time delivering something to hundreds of houses they don't consider it to be junk. You probably need to be a bit more specific with your wording.

EDIT - Looking back on the thread I see this point has already been made - well done, I agree :D

    Yeah....

This time around it says "No Junk Mail, No Unsolicited mail, Mail with addresses only".

I thought that should stop it.

Just sent an email off to the local councillor and citizens information office as well to see what they have to say about it.

Perhaps you'd check that out and enlighten us. That Sweden would have to seriously consider passing legislation to allow them prosecute Swedes who engage in paedophilia abroad suggests it's a rather big issue for them.

So are the British National Party's publications, but if you had dark skin, you'd be pretty cheesed off if some BNP lackeys took to stuffing their junk through your letterbox.

That's not just Sweden and I would welcome that measure, wouldn't you? Maybe the pope could consider it to???

Thanks OP, I just went on their website and they are worse than the Jehovahs Witnesses.

I love the personal ads: ATTRACTIVE male, midlands, NSSD, mass-goer, own home, seeks lady 40-50, for possible relationship.

    I'm absolutely livid.

Caught the woman putting it through the door as I'm at home with a bad chest infection. I politely notified her to the no junk mail sign.

She responded with "Well its not junk mail....."

    I said... "well"

she told me "It looks like you need it!!!" and walked off. I called her scum as she walked off. Ive tried ringing alive but it rings out to a message service.

Surely there's some sort of body that can prevent this like?

Why did you call her scum?

Probably because she sounds like a judgemental bitch that values her opinion above everybody else's wishes.

It would probably give them a good laugh actually.

    Anyway as Voltaire said

Why don't you stop being such a moan bag and just throw it in the bin instead of throwing a hissy fit.

These guys are only trying to do a job and is it really that bad when you consider that people are getting employment out of this? Would it be better if they were on the Dole?

Please please please, IF you have a driveway put the no junk mail sign on the wall at the entrance. It is infuriating to trudge up a driveway and then have to turn around. Half of the time I would fire them in anyway. But I was volunteering to deliver charity bags though.

Why ? If someone's choosing to deliver stuff that people don't want, then they should put up with whatever comes their way as a result of that choice.

There's no onus on us to make it easier for them.

I very much doubt that Alive! are playing their delivery people!

I was taking about junk mail in general - i hate getting all that crap through my letterbox but people are getting paid for it and it really isnt that big of an annoyance when you consider that

Fair enough, although if a person has a sign up on their property saying "No junk mail" then I think that should be respected regardless. For what its worth, I'd consider Alive! to be junk.

    Have you ever read alive?!

Anyone that gives an ounce of their time to support/volunteer in distributing the hate that they preach with that rag should be called such.

You really are missing the point here, its the contents that I have the biggest problem here. Moan bag....

I'm giving out about alive here, not chipper menu's. The people that deliver the news papers are volunteers......

That post makes you look thick like.

Of course he hasn't read it. Not even the people who write it have read it, they just close their eyes and mash away at the keyboard the gibberish that's left on the page is always somehow religious.
