im 17 and in your position, quite honestly i dont care anymore as 99% of the girls in my school are shallow stupid whores but in alll honesty the right bird will come along at the right time and theres no point in rushing it (like i was doing for a while)

I'd say 90% of people I know were 16-19 having their first kiss.
I have a friend who is 24 and has never kissed anyone. She isn't interested in kissing for the sake of it and she hasn't met anyone she fancys.

I know people your age are alot free-er sexually today, but the vast majority of them aren't mature enough to deal with it.
They will live to regret their haste.

first kiss, like seriously, I was very young. Ithink I was 6. I don't see the once glorified need to lose your virginity, save it till you can and don't be listening to 'all' the people in your class. Some will have, that's expected, but most would not have.

Yes, in retrospect it is cringeworthy given that at that age is was some sort of competition to see who could score a bird the longest or where they could get their hands during it whilst standing in the middle of a dance floor in some crappy disco.

Even if that stat is correct, which I very much doubt. Does it take into consideration the happiness and satisfaction of the couple? I'd say a fair whack of the couples who wait till they are joined by holy matrimony or whatever the kids call it these days before engaging in an act of love and intimacy would rather stick out the rest of their lives wasting away with a partner they don't entirely connect with, just to keep their vows solid for their god/church.
