Looking at the skoda ireland website car configurator and the Enyaq can't be found there. Looks like nothing to buy except used ones - if they can be found.

Yeah looks to be gone alright, I was only looking at it last Friday. Probably trying to curb interest due to very long delivery times

Probably removed from the configuration while they increase the prices, Skoda often remove when changing spec and or price

Is anyone having issues with the skoda connect app? 12 days later and zero connection to it. Not even once.

There's also nothing on the infotainment screen to suggest there's any connect app or connectivity. Rang the helpline and they say account is set up and the 'expert' advice was "try turning it off and then on again".

Did you try uninstall the app and reinstall? A reboot of the car's infotainment system might also help - hold down the power button until the screen goes black.

Tried all this. Absolutely no difference.

    Infuriating to say the least.

I'd ask in the ID4/ID3 thread because I think someone over there has a similar issue where the vehicle SIM wasn't getting a signal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73 ✭✭doyle7

It's very strange as the sim has a signal and is connecting but theres clearly something missing. Skoda cannot connect to the car for some reason.

It's gonna have to go back.

    Did it ever work?

Had it twice on the id3- pulling fuse 19 worked both times. This lad helped.

The sim is connecting and online features are working just no connection to skoda app.

I'll give it a try anyway.

So removing and reinstalling the fuse did tbe trick. Insane that this is the issue.

Thanks for the link. Much appreciated

Currently in France with my Enyaq 60 and availing of the ionity charging. Today with a low state of charge I hit 130kw at the ionity charger at 10% battery having done a long run. Car is only 3 weeks old with the new software but app says 100kw charger. Obviously delighted but not sure how I attained this. Got 120kw at a second charger later in the day also.

Yes had lots of issues with it too. Waited 3 days and then it finally worked. But not after pulling fuse, removing and installing app, connect wifi to car. Then randomly after doing the food shop I tried it and it worked..

Seems to be very common issue, suspect it's the Skoda servers.

Also took an Enyaq (80) to France, and drove down from Cherbourg to close to Les Sables D’Olonne.

Used IONITY but was only getting 67kW max rate, some other EV owners commented on it too. Didn’t delay us too long TBH though. Would like another IONITY between Rennes and Nantes. It’s a bit of a miss IMHO given the number of stations they run elsewhere.

Has anyone heard any updates on when the Enyaq is due back for order? Had been talking to a dealer 6 weeks ago and they said the new specs/options etc would be up in August. Obviously there’s still time for that but it’s looking less and less likely at the moment.

I'd say most places are waiting to see what happens in the budget around the SEAI grant and VRT relief. As things stand they can't even fulfill their current order book so no point in taking new orders on top, especially if they end up having to contact people waiting on orders to say the price of their car has actually gone up...

Hi, I've a SportLine 60 on order and the dealer told me it will be manufactured in Week 34 which is about now.

Any idea as to the likely delivery date?... I asked the dealer for an approx date and he says he'll find out, that was three weeks ago!.

    Thanks.

Hows the IV 60 working out for you? did you consider the Ionic before going for the Enyaq?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,951 ✭✭✭deravarra

I see the new pricelist on the skoda website, and to be honest, it's nothing short of a rip-off

Ya, saw that, the entry level basic IV60, has gone up almost 4 grand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,317 ✭✭✭Miscreant

Looks like €43586 by my reading. Seems quite cheap considering the price of other, smaller electric vehicles, no? The Sportline iV60 is a scandal at over €60k though.

That being said, I highly doubt you could actually buy a boggo spev iV60 for that quoted price anyway!

Interestingly, Niall Briscoe has an article about the 80x Sportline this morning in the Irish Times, and refers to the top spec 80x sportline as costing just north of 55k.

Current price list shows that exact car at 12k more expensive.

I wonder if Skoda Ireland would care to comment on the increase? And have our neighbours been fleeced as much as us in their prices?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,011 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

Nobby on Cars did a video over the weekend on the iv80X (not Sportsline) and he said that one is just over €58K so I'd imagine Naill has his figures wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,951 ✭✭✭deravarra

Both Nobby and Niall should have been given the more up to date prices by Skoda. Skoda Ireland would have been in touch with both, and would have known about the price increases.

Not untypical for car brands not to be upfront with all details.

Sport line anything is over 60k according to skoda website

Only the base model 60 and 80 qualified for any sort of grant as far as I remember. I don't think there'll be too many sportline knocking around the price difference without the grant is massive compared to the base model

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,779 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Yeah those price increases and the changes to how the options are packaged have moved the Enyaq from front runner to non-runner for us. Shame. But it seems that more and more EVs are either pricing themselves out of contention or the lead times make them not really feasible. Annoying as we wanted to replace our Qashqai with a longer range EV. But it’s starting to look like that may not happen now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,178 ✭✭✭youcancallmeal

Yeah we've trying to decide between the Enyaq and Ioniq 5 but this price increase has pretty much made our decision for us. The Ioniq is just so much better value even if the Enyaq is better in some aspects

Battery temp has to be warm enough + I assume you arrived at a low charge % ?

I have yet to see more than 60 Kw with the 82 Kw id3 tour 5 but it can't get up to temp mostly, I wish they'd add a preheat option for charging.

Funny though, same battery temp and SOC I can't get more than 50 Kw on ESB 150 Kw chargers and no more than 60 on Ionity.

Why ESB provides no more than 50 Kw is beyond me.

Having to plug in at 10% to get proper Kw is a joke but in reality the charging curve is a joke also on a 82 Kwh battery, I'm still on 2.3 software as my update was cancelled because the dealer claims due to not being able to get the larger 12v battery but I suspect it's because of issues they were having with the software.

The Ariya may still be in the running. But it doesn’t look like there will be one to test drive for another month or so. We’ve avoided the ID4 too as we weren’t sold on the interior. Might swallow our pride and give it a shot.

We test drove an EV6 today. Nice car but lead times are so crazy that they aren’t taking orders. So we drove a PHEV Sportage too. And preferred it to the EV6. It was very nice. The Tuscon looks good too. And neither will have the same stupid lead times.
