The number of CT cycles depends on the equipment and assay, so they are all calibrated differently.

There is a difference between a positive test and a positive case. This has been explained to no end on here.

A positive test with a high CT count is retested again on another machine and/or the person is tested again and if the CT count is lower (they are now becoming infectious) or higher (they are over the infectious period).

It is really important information and those who need that information, have that information. Joe Public doesn't know exactly how many cases came from what lab and what CT count and using what assay etc...

What now appears to be the accepted procedure,is for a emerging little group of "New Generation" highly focused orginizations to steadily slip into place and allow the old guard "Authorities" to slip away into the night.

All totally exaggerated by Irish state run media. Yes France had severe restrictions for short periods of time but nothing like the duration Ireland has been made to endure.

there was a lockdown denier on here last week, stating how much better Ireland had it than in Portugal, which is now under curfew, I had a good chuckle as I read it from inside a pub in the Algarve. We had one weekend where they closed bars / restaurants at 3.30pm, there was uproar and the government backed down. Everything is open, pubs restaurants have last drinks at 10:30pm and if you are out after 11pm it’s expected that you are on your way home, not off to a house party.

RTE are going along with the false narrative that Ireland is somehow normal. Big difference is that in the rest of Europe they use antigen testing, but again NPHET are anti science and consider the CMOs of 27 other EU countries to be selling snake oil!

However simply asking why Tony Holohan hasn’t read the Professor Ferguson report on antigen testing, which the Irish government paid for and you are made out to be some sort of anti vax conspiracy theorist. This is not the time to pull on the green jersey. Tony badly messed up cervical check, he’s badly messed up NPHET, it’s just not obvious to everyone yet.

it’s like Ireland never really matured, we liked being told what to do by the parish priest and followed his every word to prove we were good catholics. If you questioned the parish priest, you were a pariah.

nobody is infallible, not Tony or the Pope.

The "Stay away from BBQs" comment by Holohan seems to have pissed a lot of people off and I can see why.

NPHET are still in the headlines seven days a week. I really think the time has come to move this unelected advisory body out of the spotlight and put them back doing what they're supposed to be doing - advising.

I don't think we should be hearing from Glynn or Holohan anymore, be it in press conferences or on Twitter.

Communication should come from those that the country actually voted for.

Will the rules for unvaccinated people affect indoor dining at a wedding? I’m not vaccinated but the wedding is in a few weeks time and trying to figure if I’ll be able to go to the meal at the wedding? It’s all very confusing! I’m not vaccinated and won’t be vaccinated within the time frame of two weeks.

Does it even matter or is it only walk in indoor dining the vaccinations are needed eg. Restaurants

I believe the restrictions/vaccine requirement is only for indoor walk in dining as such. They have made exceptions for weddings. I'm sure the wedding couple would be able to confirm it via the hotel etc...

This has more to do with foreigners coming in to France than covid restrictions, they're using "Cancel Culture" as an excuse to be racist... Grab power by having a common enemy with your voters, if there isn't any common enemy then create one... Just like Hitler with the Jews, Trump with the Muslims, Johnson with the Europeans and Varadkar with Sinn Fein

There's nothing new with the French military voting right wing ideologies either but when it comes to it I'd take the talk of a coup d’état by the military with a pinch of salt
