Any Idea where Limerick is at the moment? Do you think panel will extended?

What panel number are you? I'm 14, I wonder have they started the hiring process yet. Not feeling too confident about my prospects at this stage tbh.

Hi guys, I have my interview next week for Dublin has anyone any tips or hints of what may come up? I've read the BCC comes up but is there anything else?
Can you tell me please what your order of merit for Dublin is.
Good luck with your interview next week.

They have called upto OOM 38 for Limerick so far and they said the competition is due to close May 2021, if/when the campaign is closed all candidates will.be notified through message board....

I haven't been there too long, but my experience has been incredibly postitive. Again, probably depends on what unit you end up in, but mine is incredibly nice and supportive!

I know it's remote training at the moment. Is there a lot of training or is it self learning modules? Thanks 😊

Hi guys, I have just received my Invitation to Clearance, Batch 21 OOM 80+. Anyone know how long it usually takes from this point to be offered your position and start date? Thanks.

Yeah, the entire department is WFH at the moment. You'll be given guidance by your line manager. A lot of it is learning as you go, but you'll be given tonnes of help!

For me, it took 4 weeks approx from being reached on the panel to starting date.

    Good luck.

Maybe give them a call as thats the reply they gave to me so it could mean they have 38 interviewed & ready for positions that may come up

Because I think you are on a different panel to these. Aren't you on something like a HSE panel for clerical officer?

PAS have called up to 38 now for permanent placement in the civil service

If you are asked for references for AGS does that mean they have finished the enhanced vetting?

When you say competition closing do you mean people on OOM for jobs will be discarded or only people that are going for interview?

Once a competition closes then anyone not already placed is discarded I'm afraid. You have to reapply. If you're waiting on clearance for AGS for example, that's different.

Does anyone have an update on batch 6 for Customs CO in Dublin please. I did e-mail Revenue a couple of weeks ago and the were at OOM 57. I am OOM mid 60's so hoping to be called.

I never get anywhere off these panels and was told that it would be easier to get in to the civil service by applying to Dublin and then after a few years to ask for a transfer home.

Unfortunately, that’s true. I’ve been next in line for a CO position in county Meath now for over a month but none has come up.

Dublín was my second county and my original OOM was late 100s. I’m sure I would be in a job a few months by now had I continued on the Dublín panel as they are now interviewing in the 1000s. Unfortunately, we had to move out of Dublín this time last year due to my work hours being halved because of the pandemic and we were no longer able to justify paying €1,600 in rent so working there was no longer feasible.
