There’s no ‘left’ or ‘right’ Republicans, only good Republicans.

Plenty of ‘good Republicans’ there it’s reported.

You only have to look at their page to see the type of people that Rise Up are.

The ideology of exclusionary nationalism is an extremely toxic one, and it doesn't matter whether the adherents are left-wing or right-wing, they are nearly the same.

    Ah yes.
In lieu of evidence trot out the "people of that ilk" line.

More talk about the referendum for opening up the Presidential election to the diaspora (https://www.thejournal.ie/slim-majority-voting-rights-president-election-citizens-northern-ireland-abroad-5368731-Mar2021/) Its got a very slim margin of support and personally I don't see it getting through once its actually debated and people are aware of how much it would cost etc. and think about who might end up representing Ireland if we let every passport holder abroad vote.

I think holding the referendum is in the PFG but I wonder will any of the coalition parties actually actively campaign for a positive vote on it?

Can these gob****es not keep their mouth shut for 5 mins. Why come out with this less than a week into our new plan to deal with covid.

No wonder they have lost the public

I think if folk are on a working visa abroad and the like they should get a vote in all elections and referendums. However if they are settled elsewhere and hold citizenship elsewhere, no.

He's an abdolute dose,an almighty Gom in my opinion
Zero covid is a non runner here when theres an open border that because of all the talk about the peace process during brexit cannot be closed

In ideal circumstances, like the isle of man,it works well
But Ryan and McConkey going on about it is their nerd brain taking over reality

Kite flying to see what public mood is.

As we are told on here FG would never ever play politics in a pandemic that is only done by the nasty opposition

Michael is getting stick from the grassroots as, well as inside the cabinet.

I would be extremely surprised if not only Michaél, but also if Leo and Eamon are leaders of their respective party's come the next elections.

It's gas, Central Bank, ESRI, Green TDs, auctioneers and others all against O'Brien's latest housing plan and all he keeps repeating is: 'but SF, but SF' on news at one now.

He's just a loser looking for attention IMO.
Despite some claims posted on here nobody I've seen is expecting a zero covid scenario.
My point is stating that does not excuse any other criticism based on how covid is tackled.

Same on here. I've raised the issue regarding the new 'affordable housing' plan a few times and it always ends up with me fielding questions about the shinners :)

SF should come out and support the housing plan.

FF/FG will then vote against it

Big Jim had a large posse of FF politicians/members trying to oust Martin this time last year.
Covid probably thwarted that attempt but there is certainly no love loss. Martin has his legacy now so he will be as brazen as he wants.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

I would guess this is one of those sets of figures were Covid is accepted by the FF/FG lobby, and rightly so, as playing a part...
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has revealed that more than 622,000 people are waiting for an outpatient appointment and 81,000 people are waiting on in-patient or day case appointments, 22% higher than this time last year.

The FF/FG lobby are complete hypocrites. Apologies, I thought it was implied.
It'll now be accepted Covid has played a role because it would damage FF/FG to continue the pretense it didn't.

    I don't see your point.
I mean how would covid not affect hospital services?
It doesn't make them hypocrites for saying it, because its true really.

    I completely agree.
Others have claimed covid played little to no role regarding housing, homelessness and health when the figures painted a more favourable picture of government. They would be the ones I'm referring to.
As I said, it will now, rightly, be accepted covid played a role in such things.
