They were all wars conducted by the nobility who, as Jesus quite clearly said, would not inherit the kingdom of god. They were deeply immoral politicians who only wanted power. The black nobility. Blaming Chritianity for those wars is disingenuous and typical deflection from an atheist. Jesus taught us to love our enemy...that’s a difficult thing to do. I would also say that these death tolls were insignificant compared to the death toll from the world wars which were conducted by the modern technological socialist states in the 20th century.

While I was in junior school years ago, there was a born again christian that used to come into visit to teach us the Bible.
He had lots of involuntary movements in his hands body and feet, and he found it difficult to talk and to be understood, and had been that way all his life.
But still he loved Jesus, in fact he plastered his electric wheel chair all over with bright glittering stickers so even those he never spoke to knew he loved Jesus.
As you can probably imagine being between the age of 5 and ten, and never seen anyone with these movements before we did snigger from time to time, but as we could all plainly see how difficult it was for him, I like to think he got the respect he deserved.
I once asked him the exact same question at the top of this thread. He didn’t start his sentence with I think, he simply said that Jesus will return when we begin to believe we don’t need him.
I always remembered what he said.
But even at that age I thought a time like that might be soon.
I’m 42 now, and I’ve seen the planet polluted and changed, I’ve seen the people of devout Muslim faith pledge death and succeed, and from what I can see, more and more people abandoning any faith of any kind.
I fear for all of our futures.

Can I ask a serious question, how do YOU think Jesus will appear?

Will it be in human form?
How will we know it is him and not a nutter pretending to be him?

But why do you fear the future? Isn't the coming of Christ something a christian would actually want?

To topic -- if the previous arrival of Jesus set the pattern, then a son or a daughter of God is going to be born and only a few people would know about it at the time. The birth may be accompanied by a significant celestial event. For example, there was a noticeable event in 2013:

Who's to say that this was not a sign from God that a very special baby was born, possibly in some remote Russian village, who is going to be a next messiah?

We would not, that is the point! Will you be the doubter or the believer?

    I would be a doubter.
But if he really was jesus, he should be able to prove to me very easily of his credentials.

What would be the sufficient proof? Getting multiple loafs of bread for €1 from Lidl? Or curing a junkie from a heroin addiction?

Perhaps I could ask you what would be proof for you?

Since he rose from the dead, I'd like to think if he was really jesus and wanted to show the world he was jesus, then perhaps he could prove it easily enough.

    will Jesus return?

after the way he was treated the last time probably never

think about it...treated like a freak, mocked, had to spend forty days hiding out in the desert and then to top it all off..crucified

i reckon he's in no hurry to return

Why be concerned about a past teacher whether real or fabricated. One should work on their own consciousness.

Christianity as an organised church was created by violence, I'm sure you have heard of Milvian bridge and Constantine.

If Jesus does return, he'd never leave the house. Why? Internet porn. Unlike most men, he has holes in his hands, I'd say he wouldn't leave himself alone for more than an hour.

If he does come back the last thing he'll want to see is a cross...

The day after his birthday, so he will have a hangover and look a bit rough. So dont judge, he will be the one who judges.

I don't think it would be the "same" Jesus. I think he will be re-born and may or may not remember the old Jesus. Surely God could in the first place sent Jesus fully formed and with more spectacular superpowers, yet Jesus had to be born and mature as a human.

Solve the housing crisis and turn the HSE into well-oiled machine which breaks even. If he manages to do that, it'd be hard to argue against him.

But is She a messiah? Or just a saint?

Well, if you believe in that sort of thing, you have to remember the first visit from Jesus, had he not been killed, looked as if it might have been a life long one. He was also at the time bringing with him a very happy vision of life after death.
On his second coming he won’t be bringing such great news to most of us, after the rapture is complete the rest of us are basically dammed.
This being the case I’d expect he would have no reason to be so kind in anyway to whoever is left.
This being such bad news for a good majority of the population, both god and Jesus would have to expect attempts for the remaining humans to wipe both of them out of existence however futile it might be to do so.
For that reason I’d expect Jesus to yes maybe look kind, be possibly in human form, but be immortal, and be a bit of a badass.

Jesus was the first magician, David Blaine would have been '' Jesus'' had he lived then.

So when something goes wrong, instead of saying '' Jesus Christ'' we'd be saying '' David Blaine !!! ''

I don't know why this comes up ever so often. But in the e Bible it states only Christ knows the day and hour.
