Agents of SHIELD renewed for a Seventh season. Season Six will air next Summer

    https://tvline.com/2018/11/16/agents-of-shield-renewed-season-7/

More great news but mainly because season 6 won't have to be created with both a season and series finale in mind.

I wonder if the couple of Netflix/Marvel cancellations played a part in this. When the 6th season was announced it was going to be the final one.

    First Lady

First Lady Of The United States Drama Produced By Michael Weatherly & Eric Christian Olsen In Works At CBS
Written/executive produced by Jessica Grasl (Designated Survivor), First Lady centers around the beloved First Lady of the United States, who, determined to reclaim her life, does the unthinkable — she divorces her husband while he’s still in office and uses her prominence to become an advocate for truth and justice by revitalizing her career as an investigative journalist.

Weatherly executive produces via his Solar Drive Productions, with the company’s Head of Development Tiffany Grant as co-executive producer. Olsen and Kate Schumaecker executive produce via Olsen’s Cloud Nine Productions. CBS TV Studios, where Weatherly and Olsen are under deals, is the studio.

Friends Weatherly and Olsen used to be cast mates in the NCIS CBS/CBS Studios franchise as Weatherly co-starred on the mothership series for many years. Weatherly also guest starred alongside Olsen in an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles as part of a crossover. The duo’s bromance was on full display when they appeared on CBS’ The Talk together to promote the crossover (you can watch the clip below).

This development season, Weatherly also re-teamed with fellow NCIS alum Cote de Pablo to produce MIA, a detective drama, which also is in development at CBS.

First Lady is Olsen’s third project as a producer bought by CBS this season. He also has medical drama Nurses, based on the Finnish series, and multi-camera comedy Life Lessons, based on a Canadian digital series.

Grasl’s credits include co-executive producer on Season 2 of Designated Survivor, supervising producer on Shades of Blue, producer on Proof and co-producer on White Collar.

Most likely; it would be a tad hard to pull a replacement on him seeing his overall role in the story. Then again Bull has not exactly set my pants on fire with it's meta story either so I'm not sure it's a big loss or not.

Weatherly & Olsen are just producing it not starring in it.

I think Bull has been a ratings hit for CBS, Weatherly is likeable and bankable from his NCIS days so I expect a season 4 is very possible

Bull ticks an awful lot of boxes for the networks and is close to the magic number of 100, can't seem them killing it for a while yet, being a producer shouldn't take over for his acting job too much, actually this season he has featured less and less.

    Four Weddings and a Funeral

Andie MacDowell Joins ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ With Nathalie Emmanuel in Recast Lead Role

Brandon Mychal Smith, Zoe Boyle, Jennie Jacques, Harish Patel and Guz Khan also cast in Mindy Kaling-produced Hulu remake of 1994 romantic comedy
Hulu’s TV series remake of “Four Weddings and a Funeral” has rounded out its cast, adding “Game of Thrones” star Nathalie Emmanuel in a recasting of the leading role originally set to be played by Jessica Williams. The show also locked down a connection to the original film, with Andie MacDowell signing on for a guest-starring role.

Other new cast members include Brandon Mychal Smith (“You’re the Worst”), Zoe Boyle (“Frontier”), Jennie Jacques (“Vikings”), Harish Patel (“Run Fatboy Run”) and Guz Khan (“Finding Fatima”). They join previously-announced cast members Rebecca Rittenhouse and John Reynolds.

The show will follow four American friends — Maya (Emmanuel), Craig (Smith), Ainsley (Rittenhouse) and Duffy (Reynolds) — who reunite for a London wedding, but must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil. MacDowell will guest as Ainsley’s mother, “Mrs. Howard,” Boyle will play “Gemma,” Jacques will play “Zara,” Patel will play “Haroon,” and Khan will play “Basheer.”

Set to go into production in 2019, the series is executive produced by Mindy Kaling, Matt Warburton, Tracey Wigfield, Jonathan Prince, Howard Klein of 3 Arts, Charlie Grandy, Tristram Shapeero and Charles McDougall. It’s from MGM Television and Universal TV.

Injection, the comic by Warren Ellis and Declan Shalvey has been optioned for adaption to a TV show by UCP. If this was done well it would be really spectacular and atmospheric. UPC's previous productions include Mr Robot and The Sinner, so I think they could do a really good job. There is an Irish connection there too with Declan Shalvey (the comic artist).

'Ugly Delicious' renewed for a second season. Really enjoyed the first one, taking a different food each episode and seeing how cultures interpreted it.

I want to go as well, just based on the show too.
I did try and watch the episodes while eating, or having just eaten, whatever food that episode was about. It worked well, albeit the dishes Chang ate always seemed far better!

Jessica Jones Season 3 and The Punisher Season 2 have already filmed I think. So we will probably get them before they too get cancelled

I don't see why. I can't see Disney continuing any of the series. They may reboot 1 or 2.

If they're already "in the can" then they'll be released on Netflix unless Disney has gone out of their way to buy-back the distribution rights from Netflix.

Disney and Netflix are going to be direct competitors. Having a Marvel property on Netflix is somewhat of an advertisement for Disney.

The casting for the Netflix shows was near perfect with probable the exception of Finn Jones who started to grow into the role.

If Disney are to reboot the shows with a new cast I think those shows may struggle.

Ah no, there is no cliff hanger that you wouldn't get over . It's just that the very end leaves you wanting a season 3 .

Its no cliffhanger ending waste of time if thats what yer afraid of, the season arc has a start and a finish. They just kind of tease as to how the future seasons could go, which is odd considering how soon after airing they axed it, which only begs the question as to why they didnt just tie it off.

But eh, give it a shot if you are intrigued and like the other Marvel shows. :)
