But she's probably repulsed by you!!!
She'd probably much prefer to be ANYWHERE else in the world than with you at that moment in time, she's not attracted to you & most likely never ever would be.
    That. Is. Pathetic!

i honestly see where u are coming from but its not about her its about the guy thats payin her...u wouldn't get a prostitute for her plesure like!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,433 ✭✭✭kittenkiller

I just don't see how anyone could bring themselves to be turned on while knowing all that.
I think it'd make most girls feel disguisting to have to pay someone to have sex with them knowing that they were repulsed by them.

I feel that anyone that can have sex like that without *any* regard for the other person has something seriously wrong with them!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

well lets say in a 1 night stand situtaion u wouldn't have much more regard for the other person in a lot of cases (i'm not sayin this is the way i am btw) and a lot of times there is no attraction there at all only the desire to shag someone (again not my opinion but there are a million people like that)...

I think you'll find it's been around a hell of alot longer than that! I'd say where there's people there will always be prostitution - I'd say it was a roaring trade in the ice age! :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,968 ✭✭✭jcoote

roaring trade maybe but not too many erections :p...

Not at all. Evolution is a slow process - and while it's quite apparent that we've been tending towards monogamy as the most effective backdrop for procreation for quite some time now, it's also abundantly obvious that polygamy is still in our nature. Certainly for men, indiscriminate sex is still a strong instinct. There is nothing "wrong" with having that instinct, or indulging it. You could as easily argue that monogamous and emotional relationships are unnatural, but you'd be equally incorrect.

I get your point completely. The thought of being with a woman than doesn't want me seems a bit like a party for one (which I can have for free). But none-the-less, you have to accept that not all people (men or women) share your views of it. Something is only immoral or wrong when it interferes with someone else's rights - which include doing whatever they want to do with their own body or mind. Whether you understand it or not, there's nothing immoral about prostitution.

As a lot of people have stated, I would never use the services of a prostitute, but I don't judge people who do!!

I feel sorry for the mothers who are forced to go into prostitution to provide for her children ... it's a horrible worl we live in that makes it necessary for women to give themselves up as sex objects to buy Xmas presents etc.

It is said that prostitution is the oldest profession in existence

I personally would never go to a prostitute but I wouldnt judge anybody who does.

I agree with this 100% and kittenkillermaybe you should have a good read of it. Prostitution is not immoral at all unless the prostitute is being totally forced into doing something against her will otherwise it is by no means immoral.

That said I still wouldnt go to one and anyway I don't need to!!

A couple of my own mates have been with hookers in Amsterdam alright. They reckon that you have to do that at least once in your life. Tbh, I don't think I'd ever be that desperate for a jump... Even if you do wear a condom, I'd still be worried about catching crabs or something equally nasty. Imagine if you were unlucky enough to get arrested for picking up a hooker? Jesus, the shame!

I wonder why it's mostly only men that pay for hookers?

And it's interesting to note that whatever part of the male brain creates the urge to use prostitution as a means to getting sex isn't releated to sexual orientation.

More ignorance. It's not. The vast majority yes, but a small percentage of women use prostitutes too. Rent boys aren't just for boys you know.

well i have to say thats pretty silly. yeah technically my bf could say that i cost him x amount, but this is him CHOOSING to buy me drinks/pay for the taxi. i ALWAYS offer to pay for my own drinks, and often buy him drinks or pay for the taxi or whatever too.
Thats your boyfriend, most here would be talking about one night stands.
    Seraphina wrote:
you dont have to pay, you just choose to cause you think it'll increase your chances. thats your business.
True, so why bother with chance, if you want a whore just get a straight up whore, not one who acts like a "drinks whore" but won't actually do anything. Its like these guys think it ok to trade drink for sex but not actual hard cash. "Oh I would never pay for sex, in money, only drinks", these are the fools who fall for the girls who know the guy thinks they are a drink whore and fleece them for booze all night and then go off with their mates. I know a few girls who do this, and fair play to them.

Nobody has mentioned man-whores, (sorry male escorts ) at all, meant to be big business.

yeah there u go as rubadub said there is no difference betwwen handin over a few quid or spending a ton of money on drinks simple as that case closed!

is it just irish sentiments that give this reaction...if we posted this say on a british board would we get the same reaction???

My definition of "only" is usually "mostly". Only most of the time.

So why is it that mostly only men pay for hookers?

Erm... I'm not sure about that now... Granted, I wouldn't go buying loads of drink for some random girl anyway. That's a mug's game. Of course I see guys doing it and I just think that they deserve everything they get. As for the notion that "handing over a few quid" to an actual hooker or "professional" for sex is the same as buying a girl loads of drink and expecting sex afterwards, I think that's just silly tbh. If you're dumb enough to spend a fortune on some girl who is clearly just using you then I commend her for then leaving with her mates. What girl wants to be with s dumbass?

Hmm....I really don't know what my view is on paying for sex. I certainly wouldn't sleep with someone for money and I can't really see myself paying a person to sleep with me(seems just a tad too pathetic)...... However,I've never really had any problems getting laid so maybe I'd feel differently if I was horny all the time and never getting any!
The thing about it is,if you want a good massage, you go to a masseuse,if you want a top quality meal you go to a restaurant.......so why can't you go to a hooker if you want a reasonable ride?

So why not get a job in McDonalds like so many other people? Or in a newsagent? Or anywhere else that doesn't involve getting knobbed by strangers? Ask yourself that.

Because the hooker is more like a Burger King than a restaurant?

I never EVER cast judgement on the on prostitutes themselves.
Just the social retards that feel the need to use them.
And i also never mentioned the 'morality' of it all!

Never the less, you're making a moral judgement on people that might choose to employ a prostitute.

Do you consider yourself a tolerant or liberal person?
