Sounds a bit vague. Made by who? Are they advised to do so by someone?

It just strikes me that if they were genuine refugees then firstly they wouldn't have left a safe EU country in the back of the container, and secondly there would be no question of asylum being sought as a way to save them from persecution.

Of course, the second is negated by the first anyway. Maybe they're actually just more economic migrants who were actually hoping to end up in the UK? Hmm....

Explain why the people in the container rang the British police to tell them they were locked inside a container, looks like the plan was either to land in the UK or they came from the UK which meant a long trip across the whole of Europe to get here or the UK

Again I’m sure they might be fleeing their homeland for risk of their life however again France is not dangerous so why did they feel the need to travel from France illegally?

I just can’t understand why they feel the need to travel in these conditions to at least two European countries for asylum.

If you desperately need to escape your home and manage to arrive safe in a safe country what on earth compels you to then take ANOTHER dangerous journey to a DIFFERENT country.

Are you to tell me then you feel there’s an absolute legitimate reason for their travelling here, one which does not exceed a reasonable guarantee of safety from the dangers at home.

I wouldn’t need to travel in a refrigerator on a ferry to get from France to Germany. you can just take a train.

But in any case, no i could not envision risking a second dangerous journey. Also the expense they underwent is not insignificant I imagine as human trafficking isn’t often cheap.

This is far more sinister than simply seeking friends or connections in another European country, I’m certain of that.

Iraqi Kurdistan has for a while now been one of the safest areas of Iraq. Top Gear and Michael Palin have both filmed there in recent years. There's some discrimination against the Kurds in Turkey of course, but horrors?

Tell me too - what horrors would be so bad that you had to put such distance between them as to skip over (at the very least) Greece, Italy and France before arriving in Ireland?
