Just looking at the fax charts for that timeframe, certainly higher snow possible almost anywhere, maybe even a late late show in Dublin. Not expecting much but potential as good as the rest of the winter here. Anything laying lower down won't last long but would be nice to even see some flakes falling this winter here.

I'm keeping a close on this as well. I'm working in Dublin on Thursday night but I might take a spin to the house in Longford later in the night if things look promising for snow, as was the case when I made the same trip early in the day on Thursday the 8th of this month, and sleet began to transition to snow around Mullingar with full on proper snow by the time I got to Edgeworthstown.

Certainly an upgrade for Thursday into Friday. Not expecting much here in Meath but some flakes are possible which would make this the first flakes of the season for many eastern, central and southern parts of the country.

Certainly could, @Supercell It looks like a wraparound that could produce snow for the northern half of Leinster and southern Ulster into Friday morning. The centre of that low spins back northwest from the Irish Sea into the colder air. An absolute nowcast setup.

Yep, as interesting a setup as we've had all winter, haven't seen a single flake yet here in coastal Dublin, maybe Friday's the day!

The 528dam line well below Ireland, lots happening over the next few days with wintry showers piling in from the Atlantic, many convective in nature tomorrow with isolated thunderstorms perhaps popping up anywhere and heavy local rain and hail showers possible being under a pool of very cold air, good clear spells also, will need the sunglasses , sun in and out behind clouds, showery troughs moving over parts of Ireland and the area of Low pressure pivoting over the East of Ireland later Thurs into Fri with wraparound fronts and charts showing chance of rain/sleet and snow falling at times, accumulations might be transitionary and as usual best chance of any settling in higher ground.

Would expect to hear a lot of reports of some snow falling but mixed with rain and sleet at times, either before or after the snow or both!

Breezy at times overland tomorrow, some stronger winds along the SW coasts early on Fri and breezy to windy overland later there too.

Plenty of white mountain ridges over the coming days. Might get a surprise here in Kerry Fri morning with some snow even down to lower levels early in the morning. Must keep an eye on it.

Need to keep an eye on the charts a few places could get a fair dump, Northern counties could see a bit on the ground on Friday.
