A few hardy flakes have made the journey to central Mayo. Snowing very lightly at present. What a pleasant surprise!

Looked out the bedroom window and it looked foggy, done a quick streetlight check to the front and low and behold very fine snow and lots of it too. Not sticking to anything other than the car though. D9.

This moderate-heavyish misty snow grains falling now in curtains is very like the Wednesday portion of BFTE 2018.

Minus the 20cm on the ground. And the deep cold. And a little less windy. :pac:

EDIT: Also add three times as heavy to that :P

Any experts care to give a short explanation of why some apps are now showing decent snow forecasts for Sunday and Monday?
    Thks

Short snow shower here in Waterford City. Finally it pushed the temp below the 2c mark. Wind picked up quiet a bit during the shower

That certainly brought back our dusting. It might hang around this time. Looks like it will be on and off for a while but upstream in the Irish sea is quiter.

Wind actually gone calm here now.

Mornington/Bettystown East Meath. Not even 1 flake

The weird friendly nosiness of Irish people.

This is the 2nd time today (in as much as I am aware of) that you have taken a snide pop at either 'Irish people' or Ireland itself.

So jealous - nothing in south Dublin bar a bit of hail

Temp is -1 here outside Tullamore.
Showers loosing their intensity before they get to us.
A slight dusting on the cars. Get more from a good hard frost.
Love the fact that the place is drying out rapidly and hopeful for decent snow.

Moderate snow in North Kildare, near the Meath border. Not quite dinner plate sized flakes but they are pretty large.

Liking this update from Michelle on Claire Byrne :-) she seems to be suggesting the cold might win out even into the weekend and could produce a lot of snow.
