Thanks for that. Was absolutely delicious.

    I actually meant Lidl!

Well, it looks like Aldi had them, too!

Neyite, will you be having savoury pancakes for dinner tomorrow night? I floated the idea with the OH, but he was having none of it :P He's never had a savoury pancake in his life. It'll be pancakes for dessert instead!

In this house, pancakes is the dinner request - savoury for main, sweet for dessert. I have no idea where to even start with making savoury!
I was half considering doing a One Tin pancake recipe in the morning for breakfast, but not being a morning person, that probably wont happen.

I don't think I'd get away with that here! It'll just be pancakes with an assortment of toppings, so I've raspberries and cream, maple syrup, retro lemon & sugar, and nutella to offer.

I tend to favour savoury over sweet myself so I might look up some savory ideas for me.

    No particular days

Steak, mash and veg, two days
    Meatballs and spaghetti, two days
Chicken wings and garlic bread, two days
Freezer dive or take away, one day

Also going to make some homemade sausage rolls (well shop bought puff pastry stuffed with deskinned sausages!), made them last week and they were damn tasty though awfully shaped and sized, so want to try again

Stuck mainly to the plan last week. Lets see how this weeks works

    Gnocchi lasagne

Roast beef, Mash and Roast veg
    Butternut squash and prawn risotto
Southern fried chicken steaks, corn on cob and Mac N Cheese

    Homemade pizza

Might pop in a leftovers night. Looking at the plan there could be lots to use up

Mine will be quite entertaining this week because I've no cooker or oven. I do have a slow cooker, microwave, rice cooker and if I'm really desperate and feel like freezing to death outside, a camping stove

Sunday |Pre-cooked roast chicken, microwave mash and peas
Monday |Spag bol, hoping pasta will cook ok in the slow cooker
Tuesday |Lamb tagine with cous cous

    Friday | takeaway

It's soooooo good. This is my second time making it in two weeks - I use Meliz Cooks' recipe: http://melizskitchen.blogspot.com/2021/02/yufka-mants.html?m=1#more

A little hack: Lidl's fresh chicken burgers are just minced thighs with a tiny bit of seasoning so I use these rather than mincing my own thighs.

I make my own pepper paste using the Lidl jarred roasted peppers. Rinse, drain, throw in a blender with three very hot chillies and the juice of a lemon, then simmer over a low heat with a good heaped teaspoon of salt for an hour or two until it's reduced right down to a lovely thick paste. Will keep in the fridge for a couple of weeks, or you can freeze it.

And pul biber is Aleppo pepper. If you can't find that, red chilli flakes are fine.
