They do really nice jammies. We're not into the matchy-matchy styles in my family but we'd all get different ones. Love them.

Had a chat with my neighbour she said she went out 3 days shopping last week in panic of the news, she agrees very little out there

She already got her painting done for Christmas

We need a new Kitchen it be too much this side of Christmas so hoping to get it done in the New Year and get the whole house freshened up, with some new wardrobes too, I am already thinking of the new lay out of the new Kitchen we might have room for a Christmas tree in there next year, maybe even one of those half trees that was shared here last week...

We redid our hall last year as part of a general over hall of downstairs and first thing that came into my mind was that we could now fit a Christmas tree in our hall :) Which we did last Christmas, was one of 4 that we had up :D

Just sitting on my couch looking out the window while on boards and a tree outside has gone red at the top its so pretty, green on the bottom but red on the top

I heard someone on RTE 1 talking about the coloured leaves last week, not all parts of Ireland are guaranteed the orange and red leaves subject to the weather and elements I suppose...

Omg the colours on the trees in my area in Cork City are amazing! I just love this time of year - the leaves change so fast, within days, you could pass the same tree and it will be a totally different colour :)

Love the autumn colours too, and go out for walks as much as I can to enjoy them !

Just back from driving to the city center (Dublin) and some of the trees look amazing, those brilliant orange, red and yellow colours. We are luckily that we live need a big park/demesne and the trees are beautiful this time of year.

Out walking with a friend at Malahide Castle yesterday around 6.30. We were just saying that it's one of the nicest times of the year to walk there. The trees were amazing, the autumn smell in the air and just beginning to get dusky. Was nature at its best.

There are lots of trees in our estate so I am sick of having to sweep them out of the front garden!

I know that feeling. Our garden faces a T Junction and both sides of the street facing us is lined with trees, so we get a huge volume of leaves blown into our garden. On a bad, windy night we've had enough come in to fill our brown bin & half a dozen recyclable bags with them. Can be a right pain.

My kids went out around our estate a couple of years ago with a rake and a roll of plastic sacks and offered to rake driveways for a euro. Most people gave them a few quid. Two of mine and a friend and they made about €40. The oldest was about 11 and they were so chuffed with them selves. Great lesson about effort and reward.

The gaiety is a client of ours and whilst there's nothing on their official website the bits we're hearing is that nothing will be going ahead this side of Christmas. No surprise there I'd have thought though.

I picked up the Boots gift guide today, looking forward to having a read. :)

I’m (attempting) to knit a scarf as one present for a family member. Kind of wondering what I’ve gotten myself into... :pac:

Think you're right. It's usually after Halloween they go 'full on' Christmas.

I did see a Christmas bathmat in Homestore last week. One solitary piece of festive cheer amongst the Halloween tat! They seem to stick to a very rigid calendar in there.

Not in Blanchardstown. They had loads of Christmas stock out last week, right beside the Halloween stuff. In fact they had more Christmas stock than Halloween stock when we went in and it looked like they were making space for more Christmas bits n bobs... The Mrs had her eye on a couple of snow globes but at full price we said we'd wait a couple more weeks for their inevitable price drop.

Online is a different story though, generally its closer to or after Halloween they change over to Christmas.

Little elf conveniently knows exactly what he wants from Santa and he's not for turning, so that's another important thing we can tick off our list in the next couple of weeks.

Anything else around Christmas isn't really crucial and can be adapted if we can't find what we are looking for in the shops.

I'm sending a couple of Irish themed parcels abroad and just waiting for the boxes of proper taytos to come in to add to the pile. Can't send off a parcel without the taytos!

I must have been in before you because there was nothing Christmassy in Blanch when I was there. Good to know it’s there now. Tiger in Blanch also has a bunch of Christmas stock and Penneys has some stuff. We had to hang around for 15 minutes after our flu shots yesterday and I used that time well!
