Leo needs to stop with the quotes

It serves no purpose. Cringe. Be firm, clear and get on with it..

They’re cringe inducing. But part of his aloof disconnected style. Irish people aren’t into that stuff

Harris looks absolutely deflated that restrictions are easing. Poor chap is heartbroken

He's somehow managing to suck the joy I got from Leo's speech right out of me

Harris definitely doesn't have a career in kids TV to fall back on anyway.

So they’ll all arrive at the same time. Great thinking
No, he used the word staggered and there are a lot of rules around it.

29th of June is basically the end of the lockdown.

    Cant wait.

They're always looking for staff in my local McDonalds.

    All shops are open Monday?
    Does that mean barbershops too?
(he asked looking like one of the BeeGees)

They were originally in phase 4 (20 July), guessing its phase 3 (29 June) now. But only guessing.

If you'd listened from the beginning , it's very much a "now boys and girls" speech. It's fine.

100% It serves to feed into the self propagating image of the trendy, culturally aware blahhh blahhh blahhh Taoiseach. He just needs to cut the jabber, lay it straight, keep his country informed and remember, he is a public servant, this isn’t about him it’s about US. He can shove his ‘all for effect’ smug grandstanding up his smug nostrils. He is almost making John Brutal seem likable.

Well, like I said, plenty of over 70's near us have been going out shopping all along...and from talking to my mum, she is done with it now, she likes to do her weekly shop in dunnes/aldi - couldn't begrudge her that! I think she's done pretty well and has always been cautious when it comes to using trolleys etc (was wiping them down herself long before Covid :pac:) and keeps her distance. It's just that there has been no mention of cocooners going out and about since they "allowed" them to get some exercise again on the 5th May. It was in the draft for phase two about being able to go shopping, so just interested to know if this is still on the cards and can cocooners head off for a spin anywhere in their county from Monday, like everybody else....
Yes they can, they same as they could go for a spin within the 5k limit in Phase 1

Little more clarity there. Got very excited for the summer camps announcement, but it's for "post-primary" children.

Most camps I know of are only for primary aged kids

Probably been working non-stop for months, making difficult decisions where he knows people might die if he gets it wrong. Hope he takes a break for a while and looks after himself, the same with everyone else working on this. Ignore the cranks and begrudgers.

Finally, a well done to the Taoiseach and cabinet. Been very critical and disappointed in them up to now, but good decisions were made today, and pleased to acknowledge that.

So what is actually scheduled for Phase 4 now (the new Phase 5) which hasn't been already moved up to June 29th?
Bars without food, nightclubs? Anything else of significance?

Ah I know in fairness to him he’s been working hard but he could crack a smile on the telly for the day that’s in it

Indeed, he suffers from Crohn's disease which is accelerated by stress. Very easy for people to take personal pot shots at him from behind a keyboard. Cowards.

Yeah, it looks like that release when you realise it's almost over and just how knackered you are. Has his own health issues too.

Leo now in "me and Tony are aligned but the buck stops with me" spin/damage control mode.

What? I did listen from the beginning - I know it was for kids, still doesn't make it any less cringey
