He dealt with North Korea very impressively, he went from exchanging insults with Kim Jong Un to meeting in person for initial discussions. That alone is impressive even if Kim Jong Un reneged, he gave them every opportunity for a peaceful resolution and resulted in a historic meeting between the Norrh and South korean leaders.

Didn't they go straight back to missile testing?
His 2017 tax cut was an impressive achievement, many of whom didn't believe he could get passed.

Where did the money for the cut come from?
I think he has a good eye for exposing corruption amongst the elite.

A look through his cabinet would suggest otherwise.

Just debt. $6T added in less than 4 years. Meanwhile, Obama was pilloried for $9T over 8 years.

They also get to spend millions of dollars to set up massive political organisations called Super PACs and flood the American airwaves with pro-billionaire pro-corporation messages and call the corporate centre-right (by European standards) Democrats far-left socialists and pay lobbyists millions of dollars to help create the legislature that eventually gets signed into law. None of which the average American is able to do, already struggling to pay rent and debts.
If I'm not mistaken I believe Democrats are the bigger beneficiary of Super PACs, union money, and lobby money.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

Tomorrow I'll be voting, in person, in our primary and voting for Trump because I think he is the best candidate of everyone running to lead the country.

When it comes to Trump... Harmony - No, Progress - Yes. And I'll take progress over harmony any day of the week.

Hey notobtuse, could you provide some links showing that Democrats receive more funding from Super PACs and lobbyists than Republicans?

The press secretary is holding a briefing at 7pm Irish time.
    This isn't a trump presser

The only people making fools of themselves other than Trump himself are the Republicans who sucked up to Trump after saying in 2016 that they will never support him.

The last time Trump spoke on an emergency topic he pondered the merits of drinking bleach as a solution.

They won't let him address this in a presser.

    Where is trump?

In a bunker scared of rocks and water bottles.

Injecting it! There's a difference, drinking it could kill you!

But borrowing to give tax cuts makes sense, right? It wouldn't just create a problem to be solved in the future? ;)

It’s a statement that I believe, based on what I’ve read in the past that Democrats benefit more from PACs, lobbyists and unions, but I might be mistaken.

We all know unions almost exclusively give to Democrats.

And take a look at PACs for the 2020 election cycle…

    So you tell me!

    Here’s lobbyists

He made a great attempt at reconciling with Kim Jong Un, something no other president did with him or any other dictator as far as I'm aware.

An attempt was made, I'll give you that. Far from the only dictator the US has tried to deal with
You'll have to read the fiscal accounts, I don't have that information.

    See Overheal's post.
Not sure who you are talking about.

He doesn't have much of a record for picking 'the best people', he seems to like the swamp so much he's relocated to Florida.

Trump has literally vacated his post and could not be bothered except for a few tweets and an effort at shifting the blame onto the Governors.

At least that's how it looks.

I don't think you are getting it. I have no interest in communicating with you any further. I don't agree with your opinions and do not want to entertain them.

Fair enough, if having facts pointed out to you leads to that reaction then I guess off you go and enjoy yourself.

There's a huge problem in any thread about Trump. Even if he does something good or decent you have a bunch here waiting to criticise it, say he was forced into it, assign the credit to somebody else.
Then if somebody has a less than shining opinion of Biden they get attacked on all sides. Get accused of being trump supporters etc.
There's no having a conversation with these people.

The point is that antifa have gotten involved in the protests both in the Us and now uk. Its undeniable.

The chanting is irrelevant but happening. No need to deflect or defend

People on here talking about Antifa like they are some massive organised group. Quick question - who's the leader of Antifa?

I wouldn't choose either, but Trump is worse by a country mile. The majority of people realise he's a clown and has been long before he ever got into the White House.

There is nothing oppressive about a government imposing curfews when there is nationwide riots and looting. It's a reasonable measure.

Amazing that only a few weeks ago the imposition of stay at home orders to help limit the spread of a deadly disease WAS claimed to be oppressive.

Half the people on Twitter and the media calling for Antifa and it's leaders (!) to be locked up hasn't even heard of Antifa until yesterday when politicians created the bogeyman for them to be afraid of.

Remember MS-13? So much talk and fearmongering of them came and went like a wet fart.
