Guess even the Dem voters will be out offering to help finish the Donald's big wall.

Parts of S.America & Mehico city etc are a bit packed and chaotic to say the least. A large caravan of folks edging towards the border would be a tricky situation, even moreso than normal.

Let's also hope that locust plague in East Africa is resolved, too much pestilence mixed with the batsnake flu, Aussies on fire, and recent batches of 7x earthquakes is starting to look like a tribulation warming-up.

Out of curiosity. Does climate have any effects on Coronavirus’s like wet climates v dry climates?

It’s non stop brexit bull**** on sky news, bbc news and RTÉ news. CNN are showing non stop trump impeachment.
You would think corana outbreak isn’t that serious at all!
https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Hot+Topics/China+Coronavirus+Outbreak?type=ln is reasonable for more general news.

For the conspiracy stuff, there's probably more material available elsewhere. One of the very earliest pointed to the Gates lad, all/any are wild speculation of course, to be taken with good dose of salt, and electrolytes.

Another few thousand new cases, dead numbers not increased much and so hasn't the cured.
Watching some of the videos of people being turned away unless they're dying maked you wonder
Outside China numbers are the ones to watch over the next few days.
I would say strange the numbers are not increasing but the same happened in Wuhan, stayed very low but slowly they increased very rapidly

Viruses don't like heat, same as your body raises its temperature to fight viruses

It's likely an effort by news outlets to limit coverage. The powers that be do not want unnecessary panic. There are after all other big news stories developing at the moment

The wealther is largely irrelevant, when e.g. folks have a fish market that has a wet mix of alive/dead/skinned/sick/bloody animals, mammals and reptiles of any and every type dripping their bits, forming a germpool basin for folks to stick their fingers into for a taste.

Same goes for other countries getting intimate with donkeys/camels/monkeys and what have ye.

Seriously. So, as absurd as it sounds, the tropics are safer than the north?

True that, oil lost over 4% today (-15% for 2020), the DJIA is now opening with a 2% dip, FTSE100 showing a triple waterfall in the last 7 days.

Then there is bacterial infections, which may be partial to a bit of sweating. Mosquitos also, are nasty too for spreading stuff, thankfully not too widespread in colder N.Europe.

Yea they travel on water molecules so hotter dryer weather equals less chance of infection

So new theory ive seen is the reason the number is only going up by a little over 1k per day is because thats the amount of test kits they are getting acces to or able to process per day.

And if thats true then the lancet projected infected numbers are starting to actually worry me
I'm not a doomer and I fully believe the cases are being under-reported in the epicentre around Wuhan. They have to be and it's nothing deliberate - the Chinese can only know about the people who are turning up to hospitals, not the ones who are recovering at home during the quarantine.

We'll know the true figures in a couple of months. The key figures for me now are the number of critical patients and whether that goes down over time, because they should be relatively accurate - if you are very sick at home you will go to hospital, but otherwise you'll just sit indoors watching Netflix while feeling a bit hot.

Spain and Sweden added today to the growing affected regions/countries.
US has it's 7th case confirmed, down in the SF'Bay way.

Could be worse, the Lassa virus is killing and infecting more people in Nigeria +20% this week.
Probably best not to read up the effects of it.

Instead dust off your bible/buddah, air the garlic, and throw some salt and sage around the place as the Tribulation nears.
Funny thing is the (x4) or so buses that picked up Engerlands quarantine subjects, was called 'horsemen' coaches.

This is an interesting article on CNN

    https://edition.cnn.com/2020/01/31/health/coronavirus-asymptomatic-spread-study/index.html

Half way down you will see that the people who tested positive had very mild symptoms.

I wonder does it effect demographic in different ways

Far, far too early to assume (unlikely anyway).
China has likey got what 98%? of all cases, perhaps more if including the 'unofficial'.

Only side note (that read somewhere) is that for one family of six that had it, 'each' patient showed subtle different mutations of it.

That 1st (early area) 21.57% case figure status for Hubei isn't encouraging.

After it became widespread news the numbers were increasing by 50% each day and this was several weeks after the initial infection
We may only be seeing the start of this in the west

Had thought this myself that there is probably a limit to the number of cases that confirmed everyday.

The infected figure could be anything.

I assume the fatality figure is probably more accurate.

So the yanks have said anyone who isn’t a citizen or direct relation to a citizen who has been in China over the prior 14 days won’t be allowed into the country from Sunday evening.

Sensible move, considering the size and scale of the United States.
