The Late Late have approached for an interview. 3/5 years she'll have a book deal and maybe 7 figures in the bank account.

Tricky one for the late late house band to choose a walk on song for.
    Dangerously in love?

Weapons, equipment, etc etc. Military equipment that ain't going within an asses roar of a civilian airport in this country

    No

Do they normal send back weapons and equipment on a passenger plane? Would there not be more room on a cargo plane?

FG are shaping up for the next GE. Would they be bold enough to make the very unpopular decision of not disclosing this info for a few days?

The soldiers did. What about everything else?

She's in Turkey, not the Lebanon.

They’re not the American Army, just the IDF, they travel with nothing but themselves, everything else is supplied by the UN

A condition of her repatriation should/could have been no contact with social media or any other media and a block on making moolah out of this by any means.

Just my feeling on the matter.

    No

This thread should be in Conspiracy Theories

The soldiers bring their weapons with them on their chartered aircraft, it’s all done under the escort or the Gardaí and DF.

No. I haven’t a clue what they do or don’t have. Just find it weird that they’d be jamming ak47s into the overhead storage compartment or under the seats :D

No need to be pedantic, you know exactly what I mean but just incase IDF is also an acronym for the Irish Defence Forces.

It isn't though. Defence Forces Ireland is what's on my uniform. It's either PDF or more unusually DFI. It's never IDF

The seats can be removed on most planes.

It’s on your uniform but yet you’ve no clue how and what the DF bring with them and how they get it there when going on tour. Some member you are

So you're saying that all the weapons, vehicles etc etc used by the PDF in UNIFIL is supplied by the UN?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,523 ✭✭✭✭Varik

The aircraft originated in Beirut. The Defence Forces have 400 soldiers in the Lebanon as part of UNIFIL. This wasn't her.

That was monday and landed in Dublin airport.

No if you read the comments properly you’d see that I said the soldiers weapons are brought with them on the aircraft.
They are brought to the airport under escort of the Garda and DF, loaded into the hold of the aircraft under armed supervision and the armed supervision stays there until the aircraft pushes back. The vehicles etc are mostly supplied by the UN/UNIFIL.

I absolutely do not want to see this fcuker on the late late show etc! "its awful ryan, they havent even given me my 4eva home for me wee angle" Those spineless rat politicians will fall over themselves throwing everything at her!

The government should contact those morons in montrose, who would interview a mop if they thought it would get viewers! Tubridy cant be far off the mop, with the bottom of the barrel guests they get in! Theyll be randomly picking people out of the audience as guests in the not too distant future, the way that "show" has been going...

The lunatics run the asylum here!

A question for the military experts here. If (as one poster has said) they needed an A320 to return all the weapons and equipment of the 114th battalion who have just returned, would they not have needed a similar sized aircraft to transport the stuff over when they deployed in May? What about weapons and equipment for the 115th battalion who are just deploying?

Published on Friday 25th October 2019
The 115th Infantry Battalion replaces the 114th Infantry Battalion which deployed to Lebanon in May 2019. In UNIFIL the Irish Battalion will provide robust patrolling support to the Lebanese Armed Forces and protection to the local population from their primary Headquarters location in UN Post 2-45. In addition, Irish personnel will occupy and secure two observation posts along the Blue Line.
The 115th Infantry Battalion will deploy to UNIFIL under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Robert Hurley.

She really shouldn't be allowed keep her child. She will pump her toxic ISIS ideology into it.

She is a traitor and should have her passport revoked. Even put it to a referendum. In the past treason was dealt with by hanging. Now you get treated like royalty.

Yeah let's spend 10 million on a complete nonsense referendum.

    Cool.

She was heard saying she will get another one off the labour.

Everyone on the plane stood up and cheered. They were all in on it. Piles of buggy’s in the airport.

    :D:D:D!!
Hilarious, wow !! you must be so liberal and progressive!!

I love the way you play down from a genuinely disgusting situation by deflecting from it.. you should write for Waterford Whispers.

This woman has cost us a serious amount of money. She should be put away for a lengthy sentence. I just can't figure the media and political obsession with her. If she was Liam rather than Lisa Smith and hadn't a child, one suspects no one would pay him the slightest attention, rot in hell would be the verdict.

  • Registered Users Posts: 723 ✭✭✭tigerboon

She willingly joined a terrorist organisation that murdered tens if not hundreds of thousands of innocent people including children. Here we are accepting her back to this country and giving her air time on TV. Just think about that. What sort of half-witted idiots are we electing?

    On what charges ?

If only life was so simple that you could just lock up those you don't like - fortunately we have a civilised society with laws in Ireland (not always the best) but better than mob rule that some here seem to be advocating
