Anyway, on a more positive note, wasn’t it wonderful to see Tom Parsons back on the field. The moment of the championship for me.
I never thought I'd see him in the Mayo jersey again. Serious resilience and commitment.

Typifies the character of the Mayo players, in my (biased) opinion.

10 in a row is into 12/1 from 25/1 a couple of months ago. Not even worth backing

1/2 for five in a row isn’t bad for what is pretty much a sure thing.

    Just watching the TSG.

Mannion had a great game. His shooting accuracy from distance something else. He had three in a row that were each was as good as the previous.

Kilkenny was also phenomenal in his distribution and assists.

Easily lost when you see O Callaghan and Fenton's display.

Why do they not show the managers anymore when there being interviewed . They just show game highlights and we here managers voice

They are really dragging the arse out of this coverage

10 in a row is a tough ask unless Dublin find new completely new defence

    In 2024:
    Stephen Cluxton would be 42
    Cian O’Sullivan would be 36
    Michael Fitzsimons would be 35
    Philly McMahon would be 36
    Johnny Cooper would be 34
    James Mccarthy would be 34
    MDMC would be 37
    Dean Rock would be 34

Even McCaffrey, John Small, Fenton, Kilkenny, Mannion, Costello and Scully would be in their 30s by then.

Dublin don't have four time all ireland under 21 teams coming through either

On another note, who dressed Ciaran Whelan and Sean Cavanagh on the Sunday Game?

They all agreed that O'Brien black card against Meath should be recinded

They only need to add one or two per year and they don't have to be amazing footballers.

If they’re not they don’t get in the squad.

Crazy to think Dublin are 12/1 to win ten in a row and Kerry are 4/1 to win this year's final.

There's lads in there already that aren't amazing but are extremely fit and they do a job. Murchan, scully, Cooper. Put them in most other teams and they won't stand out. The real class acts are Cluxton, McCarthy, Fenton, Howard and Kilkenny. Most things revolve around them.

You mean they didn't use their positions to influence disciplinary proceedings.

I have seen the footage of the Meath incident. I gather he was given a black for a deliberate body collide. I heard O Brien's description. It wasn't as innocent as he made out from the footage. He certainly didn't have the ball!

Eitherway the only reason he finds himself in this position is because he has picked up 3 black cards this year. He probably will get away with it. Personally, I don't believe league blacks should carry into the championship.

That should have been a straight red rather than a black.

No doubt the barrack room lawyers will come up with some excuse.

Ive to disagree there. I think Cooper is outstanding and so is scully. Murchan is different and is in to carry out a specific role and he’s still very young and inexperienced.

Dublin don't have footballers, they have "athletes" (wink, wink, say no more, eh, eh?)

Wonder Boy was kicking points from 60 yards when he was 3 and a half.

Imbibed it with his mother's milk.

Fair enough. I think theres a difference between good players and amazing players. Don't think either of those 3 fit the amazing bill. Small would be another one.

Fitzy, Dermo, Howard are amazing footballers ,Even Davy Byrne would walk into most county teams.

Well, highly paid lawyers can see a Dublin player through breaking a man's eye socket in a pub brawl.

I already said Howard. Connolly yes but you can't rely on his temperament. Ditzy is very good, not amazing. Davy Byrne is definitely not amazing. Most teams are lucky to have 2 or 3 amazing footballers. You have about 6 but no more than that. There's no shame in having 6.

Cooper is Dublins best player in the full backline.

Scully never brought his underage scoring skills to the senior team.

Murchan is a specialist defensive player.

He's about 5 foot 2 and is in the team because he is a smart footballer, not because he is an athlete, of the 40 lads out there yesterday he is probably the least athletic.

Cooper has been one of the best backs in the game for years in fairness

Tyrone are pointless. Supremely fit and athletic but a load of very bang average footballers.

They're consistent is all and Mickey has the process well down at this stage. Always know how to get to the latter stages without actually being very good.

    Good riddance.

Yeah maybe bring in a new manager for every game next championship and you might actually get past the super 8s.

How many managers do you need before you realise you're just not up to it? Aging team too.

Bragging about getting in the super 8s before us then complaining about the super 8 format when you get knocked out again. Hilarious.

But take it all out on MH sure lad haha

Apologies I missed Con. Paul is excellent on his day but a bit of a front runner. Needs things going the teams way before he turns it on. He couldn't èven shine against Mullinaneactha when he was needed.

Dean rock, Please, he wouldn't be in the squad never mind the team only for his frees.
