Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Aguero & Boruc. Hold Digne for another GW nothing jumping out at the minute defensively

Thanks but the issue then is I’m looking at
    Boruc
    Bedernak Bennett AWB
    Pogba (!) Salah Dilva Townsend
    Jimenez Kun Firmno

Fab Zaba (pool away) Camarasa (!) Digne

If Pogba doesn’t make it I only have Zaba to come with a horrible fixture as Camarasa is injured, moving Digne to an Everton defender seems the logical move even for a - 4 Incase Pogba And Camarasa miss out

I had a lovely plan based on Pogba being injured
I now have a selection headache and a transfer headache

Digne is available for the 2nd game, so not sure I'd take a -4 for one of his team mates. You essentially need Everton to keep a CS v Wolves for it to work out.

Also, Zabaleta has Liverpool at home.

    This!

Digne only misses one game and is likely to outscore Zabaleta

    Sterling I'm thinking.

    personally, i'd say no.

it's possibly the worst DGW imaginable - Everton are sh and the likelihood of being able to predict who of the worthwhile City assets will get enough minutes to justify it is impossible IMO.

Sterling Sane Aguero will get the lion share of Minutes.
Double game weeks can be difficult at the best of times and they will play there best squad . You would think not many will tc this week and could make groud up.
    Sterling is very tempting.

Hoping to get me on hand son the following for this weeks games
    Michy Batshuayi CF
    Miguel Almiron CM
    Denis Suarez CM

Almiron and Suarez showing as locked and Batshuayi is no where to be seen

When will Almiron and Suarez be unlocked?

0.2 short of Digne>Laporte and Auba>Aguero, dammit. Back to the drawing board

Other fires may prevent me but I’m trying my best to get him in.

Could you have a better DGW than an Arsenal and Everton defence ?

Both teams concede for fun and Silva teams have form for conceding big scores when a game is gone from them. City could rack up 5-8 goals over their next two games.

Aguero could easily see a combination of 2-3 goals and/or 2-3 assists, or the like.

Whilst I agree Jesus will very likely see game time I don’t want to have to watch those games as a non Aguero owner.

‘Don’t turn on the tv’ is not an option.

All said I think I’ll have to go without him.

It would be negligent to remove a starting player when I have question marks over 3-4 players starting and could easily end up with only 9 or 10 of my players playing.

Edit - I have not ruled out TC Sterling

I just think it’s a SGW for him and Jesus and he probably gets Arsenal

City have no margin for error now. Aguero will start both. It is fairly obvious to everyone now Jesus nowhere near Agueros quality.

City players are not worth TCing any week, too much rotation. I'm sweating on just giving one of them a regular Captancy.

Will Baines be on pens and set pieces now?
    Or would it be Siggy?

Thanks that’s that sorted so I’m thinking start Digne or else first sub

    Baines is injured

    Maybe, for a -4

    Alonso --> Laporte
Sterling --> Sane or De Bruyne?
    Firmino --> Aguero

I see Mendy is back to 75% chance of playing. What does that mean for Sane? Could DeBruyne be a good differential to have?

Aguero and Sane are getting 120 minutes minimum. Good for captaincy don't know about triple. People have mentioned Sterling rarely subs in or out. Maybe there's a risk of only 90 with him?

    Nobody really knows.

Sane has been one of Pep's best players for the last while. I find it hard to believe that he'll just be dropped simply because Mendy is back. yes, Mendy can be the one to provide the width, but we've seen Sane can do his work in the inside channel too. and he's been far better than Mahrez.

Would players be confident of Boruc starting for Bournemouth again?

2 CS in a row, surely fav to start again.

Need cover in case Ederson is a doubt and hopefully Boruc could hold his spot until BGW 27.

I've Speroni btw as my cover which needs changing up.

Sane has been excellent, yes, though it should be noted he was really quite poor in their last game against Newcastle. His worst game in a long time. Mendy back is a factor. Personally i'm not confident of any City attacker starting both gw25 games. Everton sandwiched in between 2 tougher games vs Arsenal and Chelsea. I can see Aguero definitely starting vs Arsenal and Chelsea, but does that he mean Jesus starts vs Everton? Possibly. He has done pretty well recently. I'm on Aguero and Sterling this week(might get in Laporte too). Single captain Sterling. But god knows how it turns out. Anyone using TC this week is very brave IMO.

    Digne to Keane......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,432 ✭✭✭✭Green&Red

I think if Peps conference talks about Mendy still being injured then Sane is the best captaincy option on the basis that he’s most likely to get both games.
Chelsea being after Everton is a killer, they’ve to keep the stronger lads for that

I would say Boruc is nailed on now following two good performances. Begovic has been poor this season by all accounts.
