One of the passing snow/sleet/hail showers I could see from Three Rock yesterday morning, looks like it was just west of the Phoenix park, was a horrible angle to try to take a pic from (mostly blocked by trees out that way).

Got a few more coming in from the sea but they weren't as heavy.

Nonsense, great excitement packing up the car and bringing the kids on a short drive to build a snowman.

We had a brief hail shower but the snowline is creeping inexorably up the mountains... sun strong and the roof is ticking as it does ... west mayo . snowless

6 degrees in my area today but stumbled upon a completely frozen lake while playing golf. Must have gotten very cold last night. (East Meath)

    A few from Ticknock.
Lovely day up there but the Gardai ended up closing the road just after I was leaving due to traffic.

Also Colin McRae returned from the dead to crash again.

Another fabulous day in the west
Will never understand why people would want precipitation of any type over a day like this !
Gonna be a cold one tonight

The reek was amazing today. If I could figure out how to post some pics I would upload a few. Loads of snow.

 Subaru's are great but it's no good with those summer tyres.
Have to laugh at Irish drivers thinking they'll be able to drive in heavy snow with summer tyres and be fine.

    Don’t worry, it wasn’t my car .
But I did run into the driver when I was on my way down and he was on his way up in a van, looking very sheepish.

To post images, sign up / register to an image hosting site like mgbb.com.

Referencing the above site and using a PC - upload an image. When you do that it gives you a temporary window showing a variety of viewer links if you click on the drop down arrow. The BBcode Full link option is perfect - select that and then click the copy button. Paste the link into your post and click preview to check you go the right type of link and then post if you see your pic in the preview. That link option should give you the link with the correct img tags, fore and aft.

If you have a way to resize images, it's good practice to resize them before uploading, to between 600 and 1200 pixels on their longest edge.

It's not surprising. I am forever astonished at how many drivers of 4WDs think that their vehicles can corner faster in the wet/snow/ice than a normal car, as if the engine powering 4 wheels somehow magically increases the friction coefficient of the rubber on the wheels.

Had another snow shower in Letterkenny a while ago, more sleety than last night though so didn't amount to much but froze instantly on the car, took a good bit of effort to get the door open!

Lovely day again, I'd say this has been easily the best week we've had all winter and probably my favourite since the end of the heatwave in July, lots of bright sunshine and snow still crunchy underfoot. Shame it looks like we're back to normal next week

Going to be tumbleweed in here for the next couple of weeks going by the latest runs. Atlantic muck. Mild wind and rain with the odd brighter showery day. That's all we have to look forward too.
