Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. For a team worshipped as unlucky saints, Mayo got away with a serious amount in that game. How Dublin ended up painted as the big bad empire after it is some twisting. It’s actually impressive.

Didn’t realise the GPS game was on. That act was so buried by the media it was a joke. I’d still rate it over either of last years though.

F*ck me, but the Dubs do some amount of whingeing, even after a historic five in a row. I've not met one person outside of Mayo who think that team are saints, nor have I read media coverage stating this. Way worse things have happened in the GAA than the GPS incident, and it had no impact on the outcome of the game, you'd swear it was the Joe Sheridan try the way this keeps being brought up

Watched the game in Irish today. Best game i was at. One of the sweetest wins. Vaughan was some dope to do what he did. Braindead carry on. I had a good session after that game. A great day.

It only had no impact because Rock is better than that and has some minerals about him. Keegan should have got a year for it though.

This is the level of hyperbole that is normally only seen on the Hill 16 Army Facebook page. It was a harmless enough incident, Dublin won the All Ireland and then the 5 in a row. you should probably get over it at this stage

It always amazes me too. They seem to need that "us against the world" mentality. Joe Brolly was kicked off RTE last summer for his outrageous pro-Dublin bias, yet Dublin fans will still talk about the Kerry dominated media.

:D come on out from under the Mayo desperation and at least see clearly. There was a massive media campaign for weeks after because a few Mayo lads let themselves get pushed around in injury time. The likes of the GPS (which is the single biggest of unsportsmanlike behaviour I’ve witnessed in years) and Boyle scoring a point in the first half after basically an assault being brushed under the rug was desperate at the time. Looking back the media Mayo cheerleading is just laughable and a bit sad now in hindsight.

A peevish little act by the media darling. But to be fair once we won was all that mattered.

Having a sense of perspective is a lot different to blindly following and defending a team. No one outside of Dublin seems to recall this massive media campaign you speak of, and I'd recommend you watch a few more games of football if you believe the GPS incident is so unsavoury. You would probably have a breakdown watching the average Tyrone v Derry match for instance

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Be more worried about slipping into a coma watching any game with Derry involved.

There’s a fair difference between some manly dirt and a rattish little act like that.

Google Paul Kimmage. He led it and the little minions at off the ball ramped it up to 11.

Serious question, what "assault" are you referring to? Just watched Boyle's point and the only controversial thing in the build-up was him being eye gouged by Eoghan O'Gara.

That eye gouge is false news. Didn't happen. Boyle didn't complain about it.

True. I dont recall any Dubs players saying anything bad about it. But they won so easy to brush it off as a bit of gamesmanship. Now if it had of hit the ball and Rock missed without even knowing there would be war. But it didnt so all is well in the capital.

Look if it upsets you that much you can console yourself in the fact your team won the 1st ever financially doped 5 in a row....

Munster GAA to stream all minor championship games in hurling and football, starting with Cork v Clare on Saturday at 1

Probably common knowldege anyway but just in case

    https://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/2020/1009/1170474-gaago-reveals-details-of-major-allianz-league-coverage/
GAAGO will exclusively stream up to 23 games from the upcoming return of Allianz League action.

Previously available outside of Ireland only, the service will for the first time allow GAA fans at home to stream inter-county games live or on demand in 1080p HD.

Sign-up is via the GAAGO.ie website or the GAAGO iOS and Android apps.

The move is a boost for supporters unable to attend matches due to Covid-19 restrictions, and ensures that they will still be able to see their teams in action.

Games from every division of the Allianz Football League will be available on the platform, including the Division 1 clash of Monaghan and Kerry on Saturday 17 October.

The finals of the Allianz Hurling League Divisions 2A, 2B and 3B are also among the games being streamed on GAAGO.

Matches broadcast on domestic TV will continue to be available outside of Ireland only.

Pay-per-game access will be priced at €5, with county boards facilitating a free access scheme for hospitals and care homes.

Coverage will be produced by RTÉ Sport and Nemeton TV, with Marty Morrissey, Ger Canning and John Kenny among the commentators.

GAA president John Horan said: "Providing viewing access to games, albeit through a screen rather than in person for many of our members, has been of utmost importance in recent months and GAAGO's first step into the domestic streaming market for upcoming Allianz League matches is a continuation of this endeavour.

"We are delighted to balance broadcast coverage of our remaining fixtures on GAAGO and our linear TV partner stations TG4, eir Sport and RTÉ. The distribution of complimentary match passes to hospitals and care homes in partnership with relevant GAA county boards is also a very important and positive development."

RTÉ Sport will launch its GAA Championship coverage next Thursday.

    GAAGO.ie Allianz League schedule

    Saturday 17 October

    Div 4 Football - Wicklow v Antrim, Aughrim 12.30pm

    Div 1 Football - Monaghan v Kerry, Inishkeen 2pm

Div 2 Football - Westmeath v Laois, Cusack Park 2pm

Div 3 Football - Cork v Louth, Páirc Úi Chaoimh 4pm

Div 3 Football - Down v Leitrim, Páirc Esler 4pm

Div 3 Football - Derry v Longford, Celtic Park 4.30pm

Div 4 Football - Carlow v Sligo, Dr Cullen Park 5pm

    Sunday 18 October

    Div 4 Football - Limerick v Wexford, Rathkeale 1pm

    Div 2A Hurling Final - Antrim v Kerry, O'Connor Park 1.30pm

Div 3B Hurling Final - Sligo v Leitrim, Connacht Centre of Excellence 1.30pm

Div 2B Hurling Final - Down v Derry, Athletic Grounds 2pm

Remaining games on both days will be shown on TV in Ireland, and on GAAGO.ie overseas.

    Weekend of 24-25 October

GAAGO to stream all non-televised games in Ireland and all games overseas.

    From the FAQ page
If you purchase a gift for a friend, you need to tell them yourself.

GAAGO will automatically send an email containing the gift to your own email address, and you can then forward the gift email to the recipient.

GAAGO will not contact the person receiving the gift in regard to your gift purchase.

Oh yeah it's very stupid. Since you enter the gift recipient's name & email address then maybe the original plan was that they would be notified by GAA GO, but for some reason it doesn't work

Anyway I must go buy the hurling match this afternoon for my Dad :D
