How do you know? Once we go over 8cm lying snow it's red criteria and am sure we will have a red warning at some stage next week

I’ve changed my mind about her, I actually like her now, wasn’t so keen before for some reason. I’d say she is screaming on the inside lol

i mean the ecm is just finished rolling out, more info at 9pm or tomorrow even i'd say and even at that they may wait another while before pushing it even more.

Joanna though... 'I need to stress this weather advisory..' 'extremly cold conditions'....

We’ll forgive her for the little error she made, it must be chaos in Met Eireann at the moment, who could blame her lol

The forecast on Sunday is the one to watch now.

Along with the "runs" posted here too. They look very scary to me

But I am sure we will get lots of information, excitement and entertainment here whilst waiting for the latest updates.

I have supplies in. I found the snow boots I bought in Dunnes after 2010 + the yokes that go on your boots in the ice. Such a nice feeling to find them after all this time!

Never thought I would ever need them again with..... whisper it, Global Warming and the North Atlantic Drift. But here we go...... hopefully!

Surely there can't be anymore upgrades like come on! ;) (we've been saying this for the past week and the models keep giving us upgrades)

Do the mods think it would be an idea to make a sticky with advice on how to prepare, stay safe in the precedent of this adverse weather? Or is that just too many threads?

Maybe not to this extreme though don't rule it out but I'm sure you'll be seeing them again in the next few years Spanish Eyes :).
