Does anyone here work in logistics?

I find it incredible. I ordered some clothing that arrived in Fed Ex Malaysia on Friday at 7pm (presumably their time) and is currently sitting in my Parcel motel on Monday and Lunchtime.

And yet, sometimes I order a product from an Irish retailer and it takes 5 working days.

Yeah....lift engineer only came out cause a poor lady in a wheelchair couldn't get out of the building.
I rang the lift company but as somebody pointed out...couldn't be arsed.
To be fair it has caused ructions here on account of the aforementioned lady and the fact the lift emergency procedures have been ignored.
I'm putting in a claim for half a million...PTSD, can't go in a lift again, nerves, stress...

Hold on, the lift company were happy to leave you in there?

Nothing. You absolutely bollock the lift company out of it. If there wasn't a service contract in place though, the lift company ain't gonna bother attending if they've somewhere else they need to be. Normally any sort of entrapment is a priority though.

What would happen if someone were stuck in a lift for a few hours and they ended up having to defecate in it?

Being trapped in a lift isn't an emergency. I imagine they'll attend but it won't be a priority and they'll advise you to contact the maintenance company firstly. And they'll charge you.

Gardai would eventually become suspicious if you kept being found in broken down lifts awec...

Yea but what if you had a baby with you or anything. Or you're claustrophobic.

What if? What if I'm taking a shower and I slip on a bar of soap? Oh, my God, I'd be killed!

Better a quick death than the slow, prolonged torture of wasting away in a lift.

Was close alright. Mad how the country has gone. About 20 mins ago a lady came over to ask if we were ok.
"Do you want to fill out a report form?"
"Do you want to make a complaint?"
    "Did you suffer any injuries?"
    "Do you feel stressed?"
"Do you mind if we call you later to make sure you're ok?"

More pìssed off that it knocked us back 50 minutes and now I'm late getting away!!

Yeah. Would have been longer only for the lady in the wheelchair taking priority.
