    Where about’s are you?

    Few U.K. ones here

    http://www.jumpsracing.co.uk/preview-nights.php

Few Irish ones from last year they tend to repeat same venues

    http://sportsnewsireland.com/racing/racing_irish/list-of-cheltenham-preview-nights-2015/

Final furlong podcast do one live on net. I attended a few over the years for 2 reasons, they are great fun and raise money for charity (not all events ). Every now and again you will also get a nugget of information but for the most part, you won’t get rich listening to them but they are enjoyable if that’s what you’re after.

The promoters usually post here each year too so you will have lots of options

Saw this on line looks a good line up. Would I be right in saying it’s chapmans first preview night in Ireland?

Tickets available for sale at hotel also

Clearly some do, and perhaps some counselling wouldn't go astray while you are at it.

And finally confirmation for anyone that was in doubt, we're dealing with a complete and utter spoofer, and the irony of him accusing others of being mug punters and coming out with the bolded rubbish is comedy gold :D:D

    Reporting Posts
If you have a problem with any post or notice that a post is in breach of the Charter, then use the 'report post' button

It is boring reading all the posts in all the threads.
If you do not like a post please report it.
Do not post in thread your opinions on banning / moderating.
Decisions to ban posters are taken by moderators.
My preference is to suggest to posters that a post is not in the spirit of the forum.
They get a chance to change their behaviour.

I could almost close the forum if I applied the rules strictly

    Posting a selection
Selections and/or tips which are not backed up will result in the user being banned on the spot - no questions asked.

Almost without exception posters put up selections without any reason why they think it is a good selection, or that the price is attractive for the chance.

There's a few videos on the Racing Post YouTube page of a few heads talking about the festival.. Haven't had a chance to check them out yet but it looks like a live event they recorded today

Edit: It's Kealy, Mottershead and Jennings talking about a few of the races with Kealy sipping a long neck bottle

IMO any person needing a fix of these shocking preview nights need excommunication aka a head turning horror film of 1973.Let the moron republic start with the Davie[the whore of preview nights]says" he has a chance".The uneducated will now dictate to the very knowledgeable on this site that they were told at nights by these shocking hacks from the Sun,Star,Mirror,Mail,Express etc,etc this will win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭Fanny Wank

Preview nights are fine if you just treat them as a bit of laugh. Often they're run for the benefit of a charity or the like

Haven't been at one in years but bookies used to give money away at some (Ivan Yates the main offender). Though I've heard a lot of Powers specials are through your account only - restricted account means no special

For those interested there's a few write ups on preview nights on the fatjockey Cheltenham site, apologies but I don't have a clue how to add links.

A few points I've read from having a look, a lot taking Getabird on, most with Kalashnikov. Everyone seems to agree BD wins Champion Hurdle. Didtheyleaveyououtto gets few mentions for bumper. Penhill expected to get backed for Stayers and probably go off fav. Balko Des Flos a lot of mentions for Ryanair. And Tom Segal reckons Hunters Call wins whatever race he runs in.

Oh and I almost forgot for Jim, a lot give Santini a great chance.

5/1 in a place now so could very easily go of fav.

Must say, Paul Kealy's Albert Bartlett stats are worrying..

I went to one of these a few years ago and left at half time!
Absolutely ridiculous for anyone to think that these pundits will
or even can predict what's going to do well on the day given that
Cheltenham is two weeks away and the ground can change significantly!

My tips are to either watch it solely as a sporting event or to watch who the
money comes for in the major races!

I don't think anyone takes it to seriously. I just find it interesting to hear what a few have to say.

I also read almost everyone at these previews so far is saying Footpad is the worst priced favourite of the festival and they all seem to be taking him on. Wouldn't change my opinion on him and I'll be having a decent bet, I'll just wait as I'm certain he'll go off a bigger price on the day.

So many want to take him on. He'll go off nearly 2/1 at this rate. 7/4 or bigger and he's the bet of the week.

Especially with the ground unlikely to be fast I think he's a cracking bet.

Yeah, I can't see PM reversing the form. Saint Calvados could be anything but he's well found in the market now and he'll only shorten while Footpad will drift.
