    100%

He'd be doing 18 years now if they wanted. In fact he would have been locked up long ago before this with everything he was involved in.

Hes either a tout or its a serious effort by special branch to sow discontent among his associates

They aren't fools he'd have been tried in the Special criminal Court if they wanted him put away.

Can someone from a legal standpoint give reason as to why they would drop all charges.

Previous tiger cases have been retried 4/5 times.

Making a total guess here but whistleblower has always had inside info and makes me wonder how connected to the inner circle he is.

This trial comes up, whistleblower says a couple of weeks ago he’s stepping away from Twitter. Now if he shows up again.......

    ???

    As I said, I’m guessing.

Virtually all the top people are. The ones that stay out of jail long term anyway.

They are in collusion with Gardaí. They throw the cops an occasional capture of drugs or an underling which makes the cops look good and in return have effective licence to operate unhindered.

He has a beneficial relationship with people in authority, not so beneficial for lower members in his gang or rivals.

The man might be innocent, who knows?

It is very strange, first the hutch case now mr big, in relation to the raid on the site yesterday, wasn’t that the same site raided only a while ago where they found the monkey? How stupid can you be to go right back at it

Was the Whistleblower banned from Twitter for his constant haranguing of a Minister or something else ?

They aren't banned, there's a few theories on the vine.

1, phone with the account was passed and found given to an inmate.

2 , it's a person who was shot and hospitalised.

3 , it's was the cnut (Minister for Justice), who pulled strings in twitter to remove their ability to login without a ban.

4 , the guards who can get anything done because that account is more popular than some long established crime journalists and the information that releases.

1 is out of the question because, who needs the actual phone IMO

What, he'd have more chance of getting popped on the inside? That'd be a first.

Between Dublin/Dondalk and Longford in the last while the Gardai seem to have started doing their job where they didn't used to.

Leroy Dumbrell could be out soon
Notorious Leroy Dumbrell, 32, of Carriglea Gardens, Dun Laoghaire, is serving seven years for violent disorder and threatening to kill or cause serious harm to Det Garda Ronan McMorrow on May 5, 2015. Leroy Dumbrell is serving seven years for violent disorder and threatening to kill or cause serious harm to a detective

He is due for release on July 30, 2019.

However, after that, another sentence for a separate crime will kick in.

In 2017, the thug - who has 71 prior criminal convictions - was hit with a 14-month term for attacking prison officers with an iron bar.

He was described as the “ringleader” of a riot at Dublin’s Cloverhill Prison in August 2015.

The Irish Sun has learned that Dumbrell’s sentence appeal over the threats to kill will be heard next month.

A source said: “This is an interesting case as Dumbrell’s sentence for threatening to kill the garda runs out next month.

“At first glance you would think, what is the point of appealing that?

"But he has a 14-month sentence to start from the date of his ‘release’.

“If he can successfully appeal the seven-year sentence, then it may see the 14-month sentence shortened.”

The source added: “This guy is considered one of the country’s most dangerous inmates.

"The thoughts of him back on the streets would fill you with dread.”

One of the men told Mr Nawn: “There's a mad bastard on the way and he'll have no problem raping your wife.”
Mrs Nawn was told to “shut the baby up” when it cried and was told by one raider that if her husband did not comply they would have to “try for another baby”.
Ms Nawn was cable-tied to a bed with her baby. She managed to free herself after the raiders left and was found in a very distressed state. Her 10-week old baby, who had not been fed for 19 hours, was highly dehydrated.
This is the type of scum that is now walking the streets freely. Great little country for criminals.

Most likely the same reason it was deferred.

He said the witness was in Australia and the prosecution had contacted Australian authorities but had not heard back. He said the witness was vital for the State's alleged ability to identify the accused.
