Will it be 16 years without an all Ireland hurling title of cork Dont land one this year….? How does this baron spell compare compare to others in corks history…? Could it be the longest ever?

It will be the longest spell they ever had in hurling after this year if they don't deliver.

It does in a way. But the person you get in has to be the right person and pick the best players. Not abiding to any politics ie so many players have to be from x club and so many players from y club. I do think this goes on to a smaller degree still in Cork.

anyone know if the Examiner (or anyone else) will be streaming the Senior A football final this weekend?

    FFS!

Cork footballer Cathail O'Mahony is out for 10 weeks with Grade 3 hamstring tear. He will miss Cork's Munster SFC campaign :(

Didn’t hear but I’d presume as they were doing games last time around they would continue. If not look for the clubs Twitter or FB pages as they would be streaming for their own supporters .

Unfortunately been a problem in Cork for years. Always seem to pick up more injuries than other counties

Ya it seems be serious problem with footballers for a while I notice. Its related to something training at this stage unless we have no luck.

I'm not going to agree here with Mr Pessimistic (I've had a cut off him about a year ago about the constant negativity that doesn't add anything to threads), as it's not a binary thing, but we did change back in 99-05 with short passing etc.

The trouble is we haven't changed from that either. Look back at those teams even, you had unbelievable hurlers mixed with some very good mullockers who could win their own ball and pass it to the likes of O'Connor and Deane et al.

All winning Cork teams down the years had tough men on them. What Cork player on today's PANEL, not to mind the 15, would you be confident that he could put up his hand to win a high ball, or horse someone out of it on the ground? It can't possibly be true that in our massive county we can't find some big strong country men who can also move at the pace of the current game.

The stats show that we are consistently bottom of the table for workrate, and turnovers.

Look at Limerick, and what they did to us the last day, it's men vs boys.

Besides a few city teams and eastern corridor a lot of clubs from large towns are not producing.

Don't mean to sound like I'm getting the excuses in early but we'll be at a huge disadvantage going into the final cold.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,407 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Yes, this could be extra time even as well so whoever wins will be battle hardened.

At least though there will be recent tape to study for us!

    Enjoyable game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,407 ✭✭✭The White Feather

I can definitely see Dublin getting a player sent off in this game

Then as I type, ref gives them a really soft free!

4 down at ht but should have been a goal further behind.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,407 ✭✭✭The White Feather

This ref loves giving frees against us it seems

Didnt take advantage of the 10 mins v 14, missed a couple of easy points but they are a team with very few weak links.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,407 ✭✭✭The White Feather

I think the ladies football is going the same way as the mens.

Dublin look stronger, fitter and the better team overall. Cork really trying hard but the gap seems to be getting wider. As you say they seem to have very few weak links if any at all
