Any tickets going for tonight’s U20 game? I’d capacity limited to 500? I think it’s crazy if so. Over 7000 will be in there on Sunday

A long shot, but if anyone here knows of tickets going for the Munster final on Sunday can you keep me in mind please?

All Ireland U20 Hurling Champions !!

Then dish out a hammering to Clare's minors.

Gotta be happy with that 😁

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,038 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Yeah, well done to all involved in the u20 win. Good win for the minors but not sure it does either team much good tbh.

U20 football v Kerry on TG4 this evening.

Cork 0-4 Kerry 1-3 at the water break. Kerry goal just before the break. Conor Corbett put a shot over the bar when through on goal

Jack Cahalane goal, 1-4 each at 20min

    Cork 2-07 v 2-07 Kerry at ht

Fine goal on the stroke of ht levels it.

Not tracking back is a basic necessity the Cotk team need to sort out if they want to win it.

3-11 v 2-08 at the water break, playing very well, controlling the game currently. Ref clearly got a new whistle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,038 ✭✭✭zetecescort

should be further ahead, kicked some poor enough wides. Corbett again with a fine finish for the 3rd goal

Not clearing the lines, giving away possession so easily in defence leads to a penalty and a second yellow, awful messy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,339 ✭✭✭robbiezero

Thought the penalty was a poor decision, wasn't a foot block for me. Ball to foot.

    GET IN

    3-12 v 3-11 what a win.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,339 ✭✭✭robbiezero

Well done Cork. very entertaining game of ball. Kerry a little unlucky at end not to equalize, but I thought the free in prior to that was very soft.

Great win in the face of a terrible ref. That was not a penalty or a red.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,415 ✭✭✭The White Feather

What a great win! That ref rode us in the second half. He gave out so many yellows for both sides that were really silly.

    Corbett and Cahalane were immense!!

I have been fairly pessimistic at times, but since Saturday at least seem be light at end of tunnel.

Fantastic win by hurlers on Saturday to finally win a AI. The Minors win Wednesday was ruthless. While got feel sorry for Clare lads it was all round excellent performance from us.

and I thought the Footballers last night simple were the better team. I thought Kerry would win it easy enough with quality they had but Cork were terrific. Down to 14 players and a ref that was doing his best to give Kerry the win. A truly epic win that.

I was at the minor game the other night. There are serious prospects coming from that group. The half forwards won ever cork puc out in the first half. I put this down to management. Every player knew where the ball was going and we got numbers in the air and if they didn’t win it we had numbers on the ground ready to pic and go. Senior management could take a leaf out of that book.

Through out the team the size a physicality of the cork team blew Clare away. The half backs and number 3 were unbelievable. Clare didn’t score before the first water break. They scored 1 point in the second half.

this was traditional hurling from cork. Went long with most puc outs. Half backs were excellent in the air. The majority were well able to win dirty ball. They did have one smaller man Buckley around the middle third. He had 15 on his back but he was everywhere. Clare couldn’t deal with him. He must have been involved with 10 scores.

    The future is bright lads.

Agreed, we can all get a bit carried away at times after a bad result or two but the results and manner of victories in the last week has me feeling more optimistic for the future!

Ladies beating Tip by 2-05 v 1-06 at ht

2 goals by Sadbh O'Leary in 15 seconds sees us 4-08 v 1-07 in front 10 minutes into the second half.

A fine win for the ladies on a scoreline of 6-14 v 1-10.

Credit to Tip for keeping going the way they did but Cork went up a gear at the start of the second half and didn't look back, ruthless at times.

Into the quarter final we go.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,415 ✭✭✭The White Feather

So its Clare or Waterford for the Cork hurlers next in the draw on Monday morning.

Neither would have me too worried but at the same time it won't be easy either. Once we are on our game we should win but you never know either!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 603 ✭✭✭sportsfan90

I'll reply to my own comment here - if anyone knows of tickets going for Limerick v Tipp today can you send me a PM please.

My only dilemma would be having to see one of them lifting the cup 😐️ Thanks.

Good start for the Camogie team 1-01 v 0-00 after 5 mins.

    1-11 v 0-06 ahead at ht.

Quite a few wides, very hot and a bit scrappy but well ahead nonetheless.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,415 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Credit to them and all teams playing today. It is so hot to be running around today.

Cork look very strong and a good few wides alright but well on top. 7 wides in the first half
