1 step forward and 2 steps back tonight.

    Cork need time.

It is weird because this is a big victory for Limerick but I'm happy enough now. We responded in the second half and got going a bit.

There is now loads of tape to study of them against us. We had some amount of self inflicted mistakes. The amount of poor puckouts and bad passes that has led to their points is unreal. We wont be doing that in the Championship.

I think they played almost to their best and we were fairly bad especially in the first half. When we tweaked things at half time things began to even out a bit.

The average starting age today for us was 23 I think. Baptism of fire but now they know what is needed. This will bring on some a good bit.

We really look like we have added goals to our game which is great. I thought we gifted them at least 10 points in the first half and we ended up getting beat by 8. Now they eased off too a bit but that was due to us responding.

We have Harnedy, Cadogan, Seán O'Donoghue, Tim O'Mahony, Darragh Fitzgibbon , Eoin Cadogan, Colm Spillane and Bill Cooper all to come back.

I think Lineeick did exactly what they will hope to do in a months time. Cork will have a better and more experienced side out the next day.

No harm to be serious underdogs. There are goals to be scored against them and we gifted them too many points tonight.

I dont think there will be 8 in it the next day, I will be expecting a close game.

We won't beat Limerick in few weeks time either I imagine.

Patrick Horgan is 6 points of a difference straight away.

I would love to think it's possible but it isn't.

I'm counting 10 starters who didn't play the first half. Nothing to worry about.

Limerick have nickie quaid, dan morrissey, kyle hayes, gearoid hegarty ans seamus flanagan to bring back also but it will be much tighter affair. Cork almost like an u 20 team tonight and it showed the gulf in class between senior and the grades below. There wont be room to turn a sweet in your mouth in thurles. There wont be more than a puck of a ball in it.
5000 supporter will hopefully create a little atmosphere.

No supporters tonight. Different guidelines up north.

Cork only had 6/7 who will start championship.

    Limerick also missing loads

Will be a different game in championship. You'd fancy limerick but certainly think cork will be thereabouts on championship day

Thought the ref was worth few points extra to limerick.

Overall not too disappointed but worry is options on bench might be the difference in few weeks.

We can beat limerick but we have be at our best.

Excellent article the game is being ruined by frees because of the players not the ref. Pulling a players arm has always been a free. Crowding is the biggest problem in hurling and no one talking about it.

Cork down 2pts at HT to Westmeath. If we lose this game it will be time to get rid of some of the useless baggage we have as management. We aren't going anywhere if we can't stay up in division 2 and we should be beating Westmeath no disrespect to them.

The ladies football game had cork 2-2 up and its now 2-2 to 2-0 with 20 mins left in first half
