Eyewitness being interviewed on BBC saying there are a large number of fatalities just in the ticket area outside the main arena entrance

Strange that it took so long to get this confirmed as an attack.

Where was it confirmed as an attack?

They're usually not slow to indicate an attack, and the advice is so rarely "avoid the area", usually "stay indoors" or something similar, in case there are multiple attacks.

It sounds like they're pretty sure there's no attack (or no further danger), but they don't want to speculate as to what has happened.

Why? Because hard left policies have come home to roost?

A disgraceful event, many of them likely children, all brought to you by the after effects of New Labour 1997- 2010.

Christ, you really couldn't wait could you?
Children possibly dead and using it to point score. FFS

Hopefully it's not another Bataclan massacre

It looks like fatalities will be lower due to the absence of gunmen but what really happened inside the Bataclan was horrendous and was not reported in the mainstream media.

Hope this is some kind of gas explosion that might have caused a crush rather than a terrorist attack.

You have to wait a bit before you can claim "attack", especially if you're not sure...

Yet no one believes that or has reason to think it. It may be one of many things but the authorities know.

    Good point.

Reckon this might be just awful tragedy then something more malice

The sounds of screaming kids on the videos is chilling.

Usual health warnings but an eye witness on BBC was talking about a large number of bodies. Possibly 20-30.

How do eye witnesses know it was a bomb though?

We can but hope TK. And that's as much of a sad reflection of the times we live in. :(

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I've been in the arena lately and can say the security was a joke, pathetic pat on the shoulder as a pat down going in.

Really sad news. Reports of confirmed fatalities now. Poor people. News reports so far seem to say it was an accident which caused a panic and a rush.

    Terrible for all involved.

BBC's reporting seems to be a lot more grim than Sky. They must be aware of something a lot more troublesome.

It should also be noted that the BBC are based in Manchester now, so would probably have more ground connections with the Police.

Witness on the BBC said blast was outside the arena as people were leaving.

It won't work out well for the people already confirmed dead.

Just so sad, regardless of cause, it's awful for everyone involved or waiting to hear if their loved ones are involved.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

It has all the hallmarks of islamic terrorism so far to be fair, no matter what happened whether it was terror related or some sort of gasleak or technical problem it looks pretty messed up, people have died and alot of young teenagers and children appear to the the demograph worse effected.

RIP to those who died just having a bit of fun at a music concert.
