In fairness the majority of them have been very gracious in defeat and accepting that Galway were the better team. Hopefully its next years final.

As I said I thought Joe Cannings point was fantastic and no sore loser at all Best of Luck to Galway and indeed It was a great match and Tipp only one point off at the end

And to try to paint a discussion on the handpass rule as being a sore loser well thats for you to decide

    Go away out of that
You are implying that coen threw the ball and canning point shouldn't have been allowed and tipp didn't lose at all. Boo hoo booo

Being a bitter winner is an unusual combination but you have somehow managed it.

    Fair play to you.

Ken wasnt giving out in fairness.
Where did you see that? He was giving out about Tyrells insistence that the rumours affected Tipp which is total bs. These disgusting rumours were a total fabrication made up by a shower of browls in Offaly

Ive seen a few eejits on facebook alright blaming the ref which is embarrassing but real hurling men and women of Tipperary acknowledge that the better team won but sure if it suits your anti Tipp agenda you may plough on

If Waterford try to play a sweeper who is inexperienced then I think they get taken to the cleaners. They'd be better to crowd the midfield and half forward line to stop cork hitting accurate low ball into their forward lines.
Put enough pressure high up the pitch and they could be very competitive. Sit back and defend and I think it'll be a bad day at the office. Either way I think Cork will win.

    Good grief

I could also say that EVERY Galway supporter was still sore about John Denton but that wouldnt be true now.

Anyway i personally genuinely hope that Joe gets his medal because he is one of the games best exponents and you want to see the heroes of the game get their rewards. Its a crying shame his brother Ollie, a brilliant corner back who played on decent Galway teams never got there

What's this talk now that Waterford abandoned the sweeper for the initial Cork game? I can't remember it too well now but I'm 99% sure there was a sweeper at least for some of the match. Is this just mind games or Waterford people trying to find a reason for their loss, or maybe I'm just mistaken..?

All logic points to a cork win but for some reason I think Waterford are gonna do it

In fairness to Tyrrell he was likely refering to the Gleeson and Barrett stuff aswell. The other rumours on top of that can't have helped preparations.

Define a sweeper. They played with less numbers in the full forward line but Tadhg Bourke did not sit as deep as usual. He played center back, bear in mind a center back does not follow his man back into the opposition half (unless maybe you'd Richie McCarthy at center back), so when Lehane dropped deep he didn't follow.

Some would mistakenly claim that made him a sweeper.

The Gleeson thing did hang over Darren at least and i notice he was outstanding the weekend and actually looked leaner.

The Barrett stuff was cut and dry though. It was established and dealt with and credit Mick he left no doubt about it last week.

In fairness we gave some effort on Sunday despite our shortcomings and yet Jackie seemed to just focus on the rumours affecting Tipp? Tabloid stuff. We just werent good enough and Galway found those margins on us. But we can strike back next year and ive no doubt we will bounce back if Mick stays on.

Jackie didn't JUST focus on that, he mentioned it in passing. It was so much in passing that when he said it on Sunday nobody passed any heed, and it was only when Hogan went off on one about it that people started to get on the outrage bandwagon.

Still, Jackie has always had a way of getting in Tipperary lads heads. The rest of them now know how lar has felt all these years.

Quick question why is it in my head that AI semi final refs don't get to ref the final?
Or does it only apply to AI refs that ref finals don't get the replays?

Holy f*ck, how old are you? "A few years ago"? That's almost 40 years ago I think. One for Reeling in the Years.

Aah I was only joking!!!!. Just trying to sort the men from boy's.

Very sad about Tony Keady. A real legend of Galway hurling. A Roy Keane type leader on the pitch. Part of a great team that gave us some unbelievable memories we will never forget in games they won and lost.
    RIP Tony

Tyrell assumed to know what was going on internally in another panel without explaining how he knew. That's pub talk. He's weak enough on the Sunday Game IMO.
