I wouldn't bother with prep classes.... if its meant to be, its meant to be.... just put the head down, save your money and get the job...

I wouldn't ever go back to a tutor again, I guess there could be some good ones out there but for me I found that I was being taught things that I already knew or stuff that were already online. The price I was charged for the classes where also ridiculous.

The classes are good for the A.C.. trouble is alot of them make you go to both and not just the A.C. class

Is it current / ex psni teaching the classes, or recruitment trained people

Any rough estimates of once the IST is completed how long it will be until we hear of if we have got to the A.C. or Not?

I reckon we'll get results of IST just before Xmas.

ACs start 8th Jan so could be as little as a fortnight

Do the results of ist count towards anything apart from getting through to the next stage?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,620 ✭✭✭Banterbus28

Nope, just in getting through to the AC

  • Registered Users Posts: 69 ✭✭FinalTry32

Are most people here at the same stage of just after submitting their application and waiting on an IST date coming through? Apologies if thats a different thread.

It tie breaks if your AC score is the same as others

Pretty sure during previous campaigns the IST score put you into an order for the A.C.. so the higher the IST score the sooner your a.c. was.

No the earlier you did IST the earlier the AC

I thought from previous campaigns that it was the higher your IST result the sooner you did the AC ?

They can't really do that this time.

Not what I was told but doesn't really make a diff either way as everyone gets results at same time. You either have to wait ages for a.c. and worry while waiting, or do a.c. early and sit and worry for ages after while waiting for the results.
