Apart from the Nationals and the Ulster races are there any more on this season?
Starting to feel good and hoping to race through jan if there are some to do !!

Ok it's not a race but it would keep the legs ticking over.
    Adventure Cross.

Might be tempted to give it a bash.

Let me know when you decide, ok? It would be nice to finish my non-existant cx season with it :)

FRIDAY? What were they thinking? ?!...

We could arrange a Boards Wicklow Way or Dublin Mountains Way spin.
They're doing it with the MTBs.

Not so easy to create a long, mostly offroad route in these areas that would be suitable for a CX bike... without loops and off-shoots. WW and DMW are too rocky in most parts.

Is David Conroy racing in Namur tomorrow? Classic course!

He was on the U23 podium in England Nat. Trophy last weekend.....

Bit late now, but Bike have been broadcasting some live cyclo-cross this last few weeks just got the very end of a Belgian race there

Currently watching the women's race from today. From a distance it looks like Nash rides for DID Dunboyne. Very similar looking kit.

Bit pissed off about the nationals. Tried to enter last week but had issues with the cycling ireland system. They were closed until today (or tues sorry !) But the organisers closed the entry on monday at midnight.
Dont like criticising them but feckin stupid not to at least allow time for anyone who had problems to be able to contact CI to resolve it. Not impressed with CI changing their entry system either...

As someone who works in higher ed, having a deadline on a Bank Holiday Monday for assignments always causes issues, yet there's always one. Such things should always be given consideration for registering for events etc as you're likely not the only one

I know this was kinda dismissed in last years thread, but anyone any experience of Voodoo Limba Cross bikes in Halfords? http://www.halfords.ie/cycling/bikes/road-bikes/voodoo-limba-cyclocross-road-bike

Had great fun with the kids on my old road bike (with 25mm road tyres) on some trails over the weekend, and like the idea of doing some more challenging trails on my own, and maybe trying cross next winter. Or would I be better/ as well just fitting as wide a cx tyres as I can on the old road bike (carrera zelos)? In fairness to it, it did me commuting when I was about 20kg heavier than I am now, and I've had 28mm marathon plus on it, no issues. If that is the way to go, any other changes I could make for better handling? Shorter stem maybe? Would it get me through a b race?

If you could stretch the budget what about this? Steel frame would double up nicely for a bit of touring. Also there's a pretty good CX bike on sale on the adverts section here for around 500 depending on your size of course

Looking forward to the Kinning cross race in Stormont this Sunday

(Would it be rude to snot over the statue of Carson? Not for political reasons but because he was a Trinner #PoshGit )

Either you've an impressive snot cannon or you're thinking of taking a wide line at the top corner of the course.
This is going to be a cool location to race at.

Took the bargain CX bike I got here before Christmas out to the Phoenix park today and had a great time.

Did a loop of the perimeter off road, and found my way to the magazine fort and went around a few of the paths there. Was stuck for time, so only did the one but shall return for more.
