are they starting too break the Hardyz up ??? hope they just both decide to go single and not have one turn on the other unless its of the broken variaty

if Wyatt was not in the match than how did Balor offically get eliminated ???

Hardyz have faced nearly everyone on Raw, and Jeff can easily be a top level baby face for them.

With Wyatt...that's how battle royals work. Never watch one before.? :P doesn't matter how you go over the top, all that matters is you did.

If you ever wanted proof that Cena is miles ahead of where Roman will ever be, then this was it.

Reigns was buried 6 feet under. He can't do this sort of stuff. Cena laughed everything Reigns said off. Reigns just does not have the charisma to carry that sort of schtick off.

So fúcking odd, the whole thing.

And yet Roman will win clean, Cena will endorse him, Roman will say he's the Big Dwag and it's his yard and we're meant to just accept him as the number 1 face, despite time after time coming out looking like a dweeb in his feuds.

Brady Wyatt continues to infect anyone he touches like near fatal curse. Poor Balor doesn't stand a chance. People might not like me saying this but a feud with Miz for the IC title would do him the world of good.
I'd talk about Sasha's reign being pointless I'd only be repeating myself. Bliss has eclipsed her as a character now but remains only average in-ring. Not Carmella bad but has not improved for a while.
Don't get why they had Cena swyash Reigns so emphatically or why he dismissed him beating the Undertaker but it I don't understand a lot of what goes on in WWE.
Reigns will win, Cena will go do a movie & the result won't matter long term.

Isnt this similar to what killed Corbin's push (I know there was the Twitter thing) the fact he could not hold his own with Cena on the mic

But as someone said Roman will still win to help push him

A theory on Reddit is that Total Divas is dictating the Women's titles and rivalries. Alexa/Nia and Natalya/Naomi/Carmella. All TD cast members. Plus Lana storyline of trying to be a wrestler could tie in with the show.

    Probably true.

So why do you think they had Cena go out and bury Reigns like that? Did they think Reigns could hold his own? Will they go the route of how Reigns gave as good as he got?

And surely having Sasha win would've been the best choice. Simply because Alexa kept highlighting Sasha always loses her first title defence.

Stange entrances for the Battle Royal, with Show, Hardys and BAlor out first then the lower card and then Jordan. I know they had to fill commercial time, but just weird seeing uppercarders out first.
And Show looks like Dustin Rhodes or someone familiar.

It is refreshing to see The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy for IC title rather than Dean Ambrose face The Miz for 1000th time.

It is pity that they still see Jeff Hardy as the star of the group whereas Matt Hardy was the star outside of WWE.

watched that promo for Cena vs Reigns. It was fun but very close to the bone. Im interested in their match now but I cancelled the network months ago because I ran out of WCW and Raws to watch from the 90s and the current stuff was just so meh.
Cena though seems to be having the time of his life. Hes been in the best matches for the past 5 years or so (whenever he started feuding with Punk) and its amazing that he is the only good promo they have after all these years

That Cena promo with Reigns - wow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,887 ✭✭✭✭Rock Lesnar

It was interesting during the promo that Cena referred to Undertaker as a battered veteran with a bad hip.

That is easily a set up for Taker vs Cena if they ever decide to do that match.

"What you say about me, boy? You want me to prove how wrong you are?"

Id say there may be some weight in that, though my initial reaction was Cena is has one foot out the door and doesnt give a fudge what he says. Also was thinking was it sour grapes on Reigns getting the match while Cena never faced the deadman at Mania.

Agree with that. On the plus side, it gives us stuff like the other night with Roman. On the other side, it makes him incredibly annoying like in that segment with Miz 2 weeks ago.

He must have a lot of sway over his character now.

Big Show to battle Braun Strowman in a Steel Cage Match
Universal Champion Brock Lesnar might want to take Braun Strowman to Suplex City at WWE No Mercy on Sept. 24, but first, as first reported by Cathy Kelley in a WWE.com Exclusive video, The Monster Among Men will climb into a steel cage with Big Show, live on Raw.

When Strowman and the giant last collided one-on-one, the juggernauts caused the ring to collapse under their combined weight after a massive superplex by The Gift of Destruction. We can only imagine what kind of havoc they will unleash on each other — and their surroundings — when they enter the unforgiving steel.

One can only hope that the structure is reinforced for what should be a brutal confrontation. Can Big Show end Strowman’s seemingly unstoppable rampage, or will The Monster Among Men send a grisly message to The Beast Incarnate, who will no doubt be paying close attention to the carnage?

Will Jeff Hardy become a five-time Intercontinental Champion on Raw?
By tossing Jason Jordan over the top rope in the final moments of last week’s 15-Man Battle Royal, Jeff Hardy punched his ticket to an Intercontinental Championship showdown against The Miz on Raw, a match that could propel The Charismatic Enigma to his fifth reign with the illustrious title.

Even though The A-Lister has The Miztourage on his side, Jeff’s brother Matt will surely help neutralize Miz’s conniving co-stars outside the ring, perhaps making this match more of a fair fight than the current titleholder is used to these days.

And yet, Miz did score the winning pinfall when The Hardy Boyz teamed with Jason Jordan against The A-Lister and his Miztourage during the SummerSlam Kickoff, which was the last time The Awesome One stood across the ring from his new challenger. Will history repeat itself on Raw, or will The Charismatic Enigma use his veteran savvy to claim the gold?

Can we expect more fireworks between John Cena and Roman Reigns?
Well, that escalated quickly. John Cena and Roman Reigns met in the center of the ring this past Monday night to make their WWE No Mercy match official, and the resulting microphone mayhem that transpired between the larger-than-life Superstars has us clamoring for their forthcoming dream match on Sunday, Sept. 24.

The Cenation Leader and The Big Dog were somewhat civil when they triumphantly teamed up against Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson moments after their verbal joust, but something tells us the next time these two rivals see each other, they’ll trade more than just insults.

Nia Jax makes major Raw Women's Championship statement
Alexa Bliss is the new Raw Women’s Champion, but she definitely didn’t look like a winner when this past Monday’s broadcast drew to a close. As Nia Jax hoisted the triumphant “Goddess” onto her shoulder after her victory over Sasha Banks, Alexa’s imposing would-be ally sent the new titleholder crashing to the canvas, seizing the moment to hold Bliss’ new title above her own head.

How will Alexa deal with Nia on Raw? Moreover, how will The Boss bounce back after once again failing to retain the Raw Women’s Championship?

    What’s next for Emma?
Well, we all might have to #GiveEmmaAChance after what transpired Monday night, when the bitter Superstar earned a surprise victory over decorated veteran Mickie James. This marks Emma’s first one-on-one victory since May of last year, and her triumph could be a new beginning for the former fan-favorite. Will Emma gain more momentum this week?

I'm guessing one side of the cage is breaking tonight with those two in there.

More meta stuff with Roman and Cena.

I thought the Emma storyline was just a way to bury her before she's released but since she actually won, they might do something with her.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,859 ✭✭✭SureYWouldntYa

Was Nia Jax' attack on Bliss a face turn for Bliss? Didn't see any of the possible backstage stuff so only going on what happened on Raw

I hope it isn't, reigning in Bliss and basically putting a leach on her by turning her face would be criminal

I've never bought into Nia Jax as anything, she's someone who's big and the women are supposed to be afraid of who doesn't really do any big power moves other than a couple of splashes since she's so green

I could be way off but think it could be a way to re-introduce Paige who will get her first big win upon her comeback against the lady claiming to have started the woman's revolution.

Who in Christ's name is going to a WWE show on Christmas evening?

Even the hardcore-est of hardcore fans will surely be like "Eh, no thanks."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 894 ✭✭✭cian68

Here everything shuts down at Christmas but in America they have NBA games, in England people go to the boozer, catching a wrestling show seems as good a way to spend the evening as any. Well not really, I suspect the show will suck.

I suppose it'll be tickets as Christmas presents. But I think it's safe to say that nothing exciting is going to happen on those days, as far as storylines are concerned.
It'll probably be skeleton crew like when some of the roster are touring. Like if Cena wants off, he'll get off. And Slater will need to spend time with his 5 kids.
I'm sure they'll give a choice, but the heavy hint that it could go against them if they don't work.
Or maybe they only have to work one or the other.
